To understand what this hotel offers, you have to know what deluxe room means compared to standard - it's 16 m2 instead of 10 m2. Well, 16m2 are not enough to feel the luxury.
There is an air conditioner in the room which blows only cold air.
We complained about the non working heating. It was a Saturday when we arrived. We were told someone will come on Monday. We were offered blankets (like for pupils camp and not a hotel charging 220 eu per night for luxury). On Monday the heating was still off. We asked on Tuesday "What's up? Why isn't there any heating?". The answer was the heating was usually switched on during weekends because it was noisy but if we insisted they can call someone. We insisted. Then the heating was ON, and guess what - we couldn't regulate the temperature.
When we complained once more we were told it works like that everywhere - we can have either cold air, either hot. Nothing reasonable. The woman on the reception didn't want to hear any argument pretending this is the normal way the things work. No apology, no compensation.
The 16m2 still felt small, and the bathroom wasn't heated at all. No shower curtain, so everything got wet. The elevator is super tiny. The corridors as well.
The noise insulation wasn't best so you always knew what your neighbours were up to.
Something positive? Yes, few of the people at the reception were very nice. The hotel looks cute from outside with all the flowers and there is coffee in the rooms (one pack of coffee with caffein and one decaf - so if you're two you can take turns.) Marais is a lovely quarter. It was clean.
Won't visit ever again.
