“Charming Little Hotel in St. Germain”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

We spent 3 nights at this lovely hotel and I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a very clean boutique hotel situated in the middle of the Left Bank. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were small but clean and well kept. We had a nice room facing the courtyard. It is in the perfect location (in St. Germain) for exploring the city; just minutes away from the RER (to the airport) and several Metro stations. I have been the Paris several times and I think this hotel delivers a great experience for the price. You can't ask for much more. A must-stay in this location!

“A cosy hotel in the most interesting part of Paris”

We've been coming back to this hotel for years now and it has become home away from home. It is conveniently situated close to the metro station Jardin du Luxembourg, which means that if you arrive in Paris by TGV in the Gare du Nord you don't have to change lines. There are quite a few interesting restaurants in the neighbourhood and it is close to the antiques district in Saint-Germain. The Seine is at 15 minutes walking distance. It is a smallish boutique hotel. The rooms are nice, but like everywhere in Paris on the small side. The breakfast room is quite cramped. It is a quiet hotel, although the last time we visited, we unfortunately had very noisy neighbours. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Look for bargains on the internet.

Room Tip: The rue Monsieur le Prince has many restaurants and bars and there is a cinema right across the stre...

“Great stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

My husband and I stayed here for 6 nights. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel. We choose it for the location, and because they offered a good rate for our time of year on their website. We stayed in room 41 on the side of the courtyard and I loved the view of the Paris rooftops. It was very quiet, only three other rooms on our floor and the hotel accommodated our request to have our family member stay in the room next to ours.

The staff was so friendly and helpful. We had breakfast three mornings at the hotel which costs 13 euro per person. You can get complimentary coffee in the lobby/bar area and an option to purchase an assortment of 3 pastries for 3 Euro if you want to save money. There are a other breakfast options just outside the hotel, one is just to the right as you walk out that made delicious crepes.

The location is very close to several Metro stops. We purchased 10 tickets for each of us and it was the perfect amount for our 6 night stay. You only need one metro ticket and can make as many transfers as needed, but hold on to your ticket as you may need it to exit some of the metro stations after a transfer (only ran into this on two occasions). My husband downloaded several apps on his phone for Paris metro maps, along with the TripAdvisor Paris city guide…very helpful. Our phone was not able to make calls, but we could use it for WIFI which was provided for free at the hotel upon check-in.

The rooms are small, but not so small that they are unbearable. They are in the process of remodeling some rooms, ours was the older version which I loved and my mom had a newer modern version. Plenty of toiletries were provided along with a room hair dryer. There was also a mini-fridge that’s part of the minibar that we could put food in and drinks.

The only negative was the weekend staff whom would not let us drink our cocktails that we brought down from our room. Because they have a bar in the lobby they apparently do not allow this. Kind of a disappointment since the hotel attendant was someone we had not seen the whole week and the others had been very friendly and accommodating with us. Guess those are the rules though.

All in all it was a perfect stay. Was a great neighborhood, I also liked the St. Germain de Pres area and would also consider staying in the Marais area as well if we visit again

Room Tip: Loved the view on the courtyard side.

“Hard to Beat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2011

I was in room 55.
It faced the courtyard.
The hotel is staffed by very professional and kind people.
My room was, spotless, large enough for abut 2 feet around the bed, a desk & chair , a closet and an excellent bathroom.
This hotel is 5 minutes from the Luxembourg Gardens, the RER station (to DGC airport) and a short walk to St Germain.
It's a quiet street.
There is a small lobby with a bar .
It is not the least expensive I have found but there are deals from time to time and I highly recommend writing or calling to see what is available. I'm sure some of the rooms are smaller than mine so it never hurts to ask.

All in all, a terrific hotel.

“good location for exploring”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 December 2011

Welcoming lounge/lobby area with a real fire and comfy seating. Room was small but comfortable and clean. We had a room overlooking a small courtyard and it was very quiet. Breakfast was a very pleasant continental style with breads, pastries, cheese and salami, and also a lovely fresh fruit salad. The staff we encountered were all polite and efficient. It is in an area just off the main boulevards but easy for access to all parts of Paris via the metro but it is also in a nice neighbourhood to enjoy exploring and the luxembourg gardens are just around the corner. There are some good bistros and bars in the immediate vicinity.
