“Incroyable!”

The website for this hotel seems a little deceiving by showing a different hotel in the background on their main page, but this hotel is nothing to pass up. You'll miss it if you're not paying attention as it blends in with the rest of the store fronts. But once inside you'll find the most helpful staff and a very well kept, clean hotel. The rooms are of decent size, and the bathrooms are bigger than the usual European sizes. The hotel is located within walking distance to Notre Dame and within tons of great shops and cafes. The heart of Paris is a short distance by the metro and about an hour walk away. Right across the street is a great little grocery store where you can pick up some snacks and a bottle of wine all nicely priced. I recommend taking a day and walking around the neighborhood while staying at the Hotel Paris Rivoli - you'll find great food, amazing antiques, stylish clothes, and a variety of different people. I strongly recommend this hotel.

“Stay there for the cheap price and location.”

What was good was the price, location and front desk staff. Traveled with my 15 year old son and we booked a twin. Room was small, not 100% clean and noisy. It overlooked an interior courtyard which was also shared with a restaurant kitchen so we had banging crockery sounds and talking in the late evening. We overslept though and ate breakfast in the hotel and we found it to be OK but next time would take the other reviewers advice and eat locally. Front desk staff were excellent though and gave us maps, restaurant advice and they had a baggage drop which we were able to use after checking out in the morning. 15 mins walk to the Louvre, 10 mins to Notre Dame. Taxi from Gare Du Nord was 11 euros and there is a bus to Gare Montparnasse (20 mins) that goes past the front door.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that overlooks the street.

“stay here for the location”

Location location location. This hotel is really well situated for Paris, walking distance to many sights and neighbourhoods but most importantly right in the hip and happening Marais neighbourhood with great shops, little boutiques and good food. The metro stop St Paul is a 3 minute walk away.

The hotel is what you may expect for a 3 star hotel in this price range in Paris in an older building. Tiny elevator, rooms were ok but on the small side. The single rooms have a double size bed which is nice, and the rooms have fridges. Stayed on the 6th floor at the back which was quiet and could sleep with the window open. Ample heating and the rooms have airconditioning. Bathroom a bit tired but very clean.

The lady at the frontdesk was very friendly, especially by Parisian standards and spoke adequate English though was relieved we spoke French. The breakfast offers the usual coffee and croissants but also rolls, cheese and ham, and cereal with milk or yoghurt. Better than I've had in other Parisian hotels. There is free wifi although reception of that wasn't great on the 6th floor. All in all good value for money and will probably go back.

“Good value 3 star hotel in great location”

Think Rue de Rivoli think Oxford Street. Shop til you drop. Rue de Rivoli runs from the Louvre to the Hotel de Ville. The location is brilliant! The hotel itself is a stone's throw from Hotel de Ville and a gentle ten minute walk from Notre Dame, the Seine, the batobus. 5 minutes from the Georges Pompidou Centre and Place de Vosges and Victor Hugo's House. Cross the river and it's not too far to walk to St Germaine de Prais, Jarden des Plantes or the Jardins de Luxembourg. And if you want serious the Holocaust Memorial is just round the corner.
The hotel exterior is handsome and how I loved our 5th floor room with 2 double full size windows opening out onto a balcony with tables and chairs! So lovely to step outside and look along the street, sit out and sip some wine. Hotel staff were friendly, continental breakfast buffet plentiful, bedroom decor basic but pleasant. En suite ok, room not overlarge but everything you'd expect of a 3 star hotel room and the bed was very comfy. What do you want for double b&b for 2 nights under £200 in central Paris?!
Paris does festive very well and there were plenty of beautifully decorated trees, light displays, music and animated shop window displays.
Great Italian Restaurant around the corner - Le Jardin de Marais - good value set menus but with lots of choice, all dishes tasty and freshly made. Stylish regency style interior too . Also recommend the batobus for hop-on hop-off river travel 14 euros for a day ticket but 18 for 2 days and 21 for 5. However if you prefer a river cruise trip but don't want to break the bank I always like the Vedettes de Pont Neuf especially at night when the Eiffel Tower is sparkling!

Room Tip: Most rooms at the front of the hotel have balconies but this is a busy street (especially Friday/Sa...

“Location location location”

By far, this hotel is in one of the best locations in Paris. It is near everything or a very short metro ride. I have stayed here many times in the past.
The downside of the hotel is the rue de Rivoli can be a very noisy street, minimal tv channel selection, and the air circulation in the room is low.
All in all, this hotel is in the top of my list, everytime I come to Paris.
