The hotel has a great location, 2 minutes walking distance of Dupleix station and about 5 min of Motte Picquet -Grenelle, an important metro junction (3 lines). But what we have most appreciated in Timhotel location is the neighborhood, with typical bistros, boulangerie, chocolaterie, charcutier and fromage shops. You can feel the air of the Paris people, eating and living in their neighborhood. Tour Eiffel is about 15 min walking, while few streets away of Timhotel is Rue du Commerce, a pedestrian commercial area, with small shops and bistros. Sunday morning do not miss the grocery market under the bridge of Dupleix metro lines. It has a great French saveur!
The hotel itself is a good value for the money. But only if you pay less than 90 Euro/ room! The room is the smallest I ever had (we had a double bed, room no 42), and the bathroom is the smallest I will ever probably see. The cleaning services are excellent and the staff is very friendly and helpful - Cristina was an excellent hostess for us. We had only one morning breakfast at the hotel, for 10 E/ person and it was OK. You can find at the bistros nearby more divers breakfasts, but slightly more expensive (12 - 14 E/ person for similar food).
For eating in the area we can recommend Bistro Dupliex (just around the corner) and Bistro Linois (Emile Zola - St. Charles st).
Timhotel is a place where we would come back, but without our little girl, again! There is no room for 3 in the double room.
