My girlfriend and her sister stayed here, and encountered a nightmare. The rooms were tiny and dirty, the staff rude and unfriendly, but this is to be expected for a hotel in Paris. When they stepped out of the hotel for 3 hours and came back, they found that $3500 USD had been stolen from their room. There was no sign of tampering with the lock, and they left most of my girlfriend's credit cards there, only taking her debit card. What was interesting is that she gave the hotel information about this card when she reserved the hotel, along with other personal information - with this information, the thief was able to extract $1500 from her card. Only someone with a key and with access to the hotel's database and files could have done this. So it is clear that at least one member of the hotel staff is involved in criminal activity against the guests.
When they brought this issue up with the hotel staff, they were extremely rude. When my girlfriend showed them the police report and mentioned that she would report them online, the man at the front desk shrugged his shoulders and said "I don't care". They still had to pay, he said. When she said that this was all they had, he told them to leave the hotel. He didn't even bother expressing concern over the incident or apologizing for the hotel's poor security - assuming he himself was not involved. I urge anyone wanting to stay in Paris to avoid this hotel and its criminal employees.
