My husband and I booked this hotel based on the pictures and information provided on its website. When we arrived looked nothing like the pictures. We were given a room that was extremely worn out; the mattress sagged in the middle, the bathroom light did not work and the hairdrier was something from the 1970's and the lamp shades were torn and falling apart. . It had a old musty smell to it. We asked if they had another room that perhaps was in better condition and gave us a key to another room that would be an additional 100 euros a night. Needless to say the room was bigger but not any better. Sagging mattress etc.
We complained to the desk clerk but she didn't have a clue about what to do.She called the maid to ask her to do some additonal cleaning in our room which was only part of the problem. The maid came down and proceeded to scream at the desk clerk for at least 10 minutes. We then just left the hotel, walked with our luggage to the main rode, hailed a cab and had him take us to a nice hotel. Which luckily we were able to find. Unfortunately they were already paid thru our Amercian Express points and we had to fork over an additional 300 euros for a room that was habitable. We are in negotiations with AE to be reinbursed.
