My boyfriend suprised me with a trip to paris for my birthday & valentines day.
Once we arrived he was not very happy with what we were given.
Our bath did not work - when running the bath the water went straight down the plug hole as the plug did not work and the jacuzzi did not work either. When ringing down to reception the receptionist was confused at what we were saying and when coming up to the room brought bathroom essentials and did not understand that the bath was broken. We also did not get any bathroom essentials as the other rooms had.
When booking the hotel my boyfriend paid extra to have a view of the eiffle tower which we did not have.
When complaining the next day the man at reception said there were not any other rooms avaliable and that we could have the buffet breakfast for free. However when going to have the breakfast in the morning it was far from a buffet. There was a selection of cereals and other items but not enough food choices to be called a buffet.
When later complaining again about the bath, a day before we were due to leave the man at reception said that there were 2 rooms free that we could move to. We had a look at the rooms. The first room we looked at was dirty, the bed hadn't been made and someone had been smoking in the room even though the receptionist said it was a no smoking hotel. When looking at the second room it was also dirty with the tv hanging off the wall. In the end we decided to stay in our original room as it seemed silly moving rooms with one day left.
When paying for the room at the end of our stay my boyfriend complained about the room and the lady replied with "but we offered you the breakfast & a different room" which we found rude, as we didnt want to change rooms and it seemed like they were holding it against us but in the end we did get a discount.
However on the website the pictures that they show does not look anything like the hotel and what is inside, its far from that. So what the hotel describes and show's compared to what you really get is very misleading.

The only positive side to the hotel is that it is right next to the eiffle tower which is a complete bonus, and is close to shops and restaurants and we were happy that the hotel was close to everything we needed.

We stayed at the Hotel Eiffel Trocadero over Christmas. The location is in front of the Eiffel Tower, the view is spectacular! Small but clean room, very friendly and helpful staff, nice enough breakfast. Quiet hotel, we would stay there again.

The service at this hotel was pretty standard. Nothing out of the ordinary. The room was decorated beautifully and was clean. The great thing about this hotel was it's proximity to the Eiffel Tower and other amenities. It was pretty pricey but I thought it was well worth it.

Started our French honeymoon at Jardins. It is a perfect romantic Paris getaway in an amazing location. The staff was nice and very helpful.
