The location of the hotel is nice...It was clean but the people at reception a bit rude and the brekafast was very bad....Very simple for the price they charge it...

Compact and bijou,our DOUBLE room was quite clearly an oversized SINGLE, with 3/4 bed with access only from one side,with the bed fixed against a wall on the other side
Space at a premium in bathroom,the oversized wash basin not helping,
No rubber bath mat or handrail
Unable to sleep with window open,due to steel walkway outside window giving access to anyone
Very good bar opposite hotel for food, drinks and breakfast,nice friendly owner.
Plenty of bars/resturants in area around Republique and the canal.
The advertised room price is not goood value,but a discounted rate made it acceptable,just!

I am a 29 yr old american, stayed here 10 nights for our honeymoon...metro right outside the door, nice neighborhood for restaurants, bars...far enough away from tourist destinations to relax, very easy to get to them on the metro...staff was ok, most willingly spoke english, guy in the morning was a bit rude... Room was cleaned everyday, small but had everything u need... Overall a great location and great price

My partner and I stayed here for two nights in August. As the other reviews state, the hotel was average and basic, which we were fine with, considering that we'd not paid much to stay here. However, 120 Euros was stolen from our room when we were out (whoever had taken it had gone through every single one of our bags to find the money). The hotel staff really didn't seem concerned by this at all. We tried to contact the manager on several occassions to no avail. After returning to England, we have emailed several times, but they are more than happy to ignore our correspondence. We're following this up with Eurostar, who have also not heard back from the hotel! So, not a bad hotel, but if anything goes wrong during your stay, don't expect any help from the staff.
