“Small, wonderful, great location, comfortable.”

Pavillon Louvre Rivoli is a small and old fashion building with a great location. You can walk from the hotel to Louvre Museum, Notre Dame, Sainte Chapelle, Orsay Museum, the Conciergerie.... You have great communication (bus and subway) if you want to visit Eiffel Tower and Arc du Triunfe. Our room (3 persons) was small but perfect to rest and sleep. The room had two complete bathrooms. The guys at the front desk were always very nice and helpful. I do not remember names but one guy from Algeria and one guy from Yugoslavia were specially cordial and

“Good location, but rude and unhelpful staff”

I stayed 5 days here, I was late booking an hotel, so I had not much options in hotel choice.

I called before to make sure that they had received my online booking, this was not the case. Most of the staff didn't speak well English, so I tried to communicate with my best French.

After a successful check-in I went to the room and find it very basic. The room wasn't super clean, but it was alright.

The location for a tourist is super, Louvre and Opera are at meters from the hotel, but considered I was a business traveller it didn't mather much for me.

In the end I would try avoid this hotel

“Great location, average hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 April 2011

Located in the 1st arrondissement, the hotel has has a great location in the centre of the city, but that is about it. The double rooms were ok in size, but the single room was really tiny. The room was quite clean, as well as the bathroom. There was a small TV and a small fridge in the room. Bathroom was equipped with a (pretty poor) hairdryer and a bathtub. The TV had only French-speaking channels, although e.g. BBCWorld was mentioned in the hotel brochure. It would have been nice to keep the window open, but the room was located in the side of the street, so it was pretty noisy during day and also night. With the window closed the noise level was ok. Breakfast was included in the room price, and it was ok. The service at the breakfast was not good. It took ages to get a plate and a coffee cup, and almost all the time at least one of the foods was not available, because the person in charge could not fill the breakfast buffet quick enough. The prices seem high, but I guess you are mainly paying for the location.

“Location, location, location.”

We were traveling with friends who were on their first trip to Paris and wanted to be as close to the sights as possible within budget. I stumbled onto this hotel while looking at another on the their parent site. It is located 4 blocks from the side entrance to the Louvre on a side street about a block up Rue Opera. The price was surprisingly low for the area which is known for inflated prices. We found it to be clean and everything functional although it was fairly basic. It supplied all our needs. There were plenty of eating establishments within the block from cheap to pricy and a small market where we bought wine, beer, bread and cheese for late snacks. The metro line 1 was about 3 blocks away which runs along the right bank area from the louvre out along the Champs Elysees to the Arc d' Triompe and La Defense and connects to everything else.
