My husband and I chose this hotel mainly swayed by the good reports on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed, having taken probably the most tortuous route to Rue Richer we were very pleased with the warm and helpful welcome. Our room was on the 6th floor and was as described in the hotel literature, it is clean, comfortable and spacious for a city centre hotel. However, my husband (doing a fair impression of an Englishman abroad) could not get the safe to work. I telephoned reception who sent an engineer up immediately, he had several attempts to sort the problem out and failed. Reception said "Not a problem pack your suitcases tomorrow morning and we will transfer you to another room". As we had not really unpacked this proved quick and easy. Next day, when we returned our new room was on the 3rd floor and was an even larger room. Nothing seemed a problem to the hotel staff, I would recommend it highly. The hotel is situated just along from the Folies Bergers, a wonderful 1920s building, sadly in need of a bit of TLC but still quite an experience to see. So you don't make such heavy weather in getting to the hotel, all metro stations are named by the Tete de station (head) and then the stops along the way are given as in the London underground to get to Aida take the line Balard - Creteil line and get off at Grands Boulevards walk as if going to the big BNP bank, at the bank turn right and then left the hotel is at the end of the road.
