The hotel is more like a hostel for me. It's cute like a polly pocket. The ground floor has an elegant, business-like ambiance. The dining area is small that it can only accomodate a few people. The hotel's hallway is red carpeted and connected with spiral stairs. The rooms are ok. You just have to knock harder for your companions to hear your knocking. The bathroom is mediocre but that's ok. The only thing that compensates the room is the view it offers. You get a panoramic view of the city and that's pretty cool. Receptionists are able to speak in minimal English. It's just too hard to understand what they're saying but you just know they're really trying their best to accomodate your needs.

The hotel is located in a block surrounded by restos, cafes and shops.

This hotel is in a great location, however did not offer us any real service, in fact everything seemed to be to much trouble when we arrived in the evening, our booking was messed up and we had absolutely no satisfaction with trying to sort it out, we came to the conclusion that we would just stay the time there and move on, we could not get in touch with our travel agent due to being the holidays, however even after we got back she could get no satisfaction so we chalked it up to experience.
As the location was so good, the room was clean and reasonable in size, the bathroom was good but no shower, they did have rooms with showers as we had one in another room we had booked, we had a great view, the breakfast options were great, the food really nice, right across the road from the station and walking distance to a lot of attractions.
Putting aside the mess up in the bookings through lack of english understanding I think that ruined our trip to a degree, you pay good money and should expect reasonable service for it,
But we did enjoy the sights and sounds of Paris itself,

We are from Malta & found our stay at the Londre & Newyork Fantastic!!.
Breakfast was plentiful, great view at breakfast time seeing the Parisians early in the city, The Room was great very clean & spacious, Bathroom & Shower excellent Space again!!. Our favourite was the Night receptionist a tall handsome man Freddie i called him, very friendly!, English no problem & extremly helpful & informative with the Metro , maps , buses ect......
The best part of the hotel is the Location!!!!!! very central A Metro station infront of the hotels doorstep, just 20min walks to the Opera , from the Opers 10 min walk to The Louvre , If we are in Paris again someday we 100% stay at this great location hotel,

My husband and I stayed here in late June 09, room 454. We found the hotel to be in a good location, close to many shops, cafes and restaurants. The hotel is on a busy street, but no street noise excapes into the rooms. The a/c works extremely well, I found it a bit too cold, but most people wouldn't. The room was small, bed comfortable and bathroom fine with a separate shower. Breakfast was ok, nothing to rave about.
