“Much better than expected”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

I visit Paris many times a year but for some reason I had never stayed at the Meridien. The hotel turned out to be much better than expected. Yes, I guess I was lucky to check in late in the evening (I think there will be significant queues at the reception desk during rush hours, I sure noticed the next morning), but parking underneath was very convenient, the breakfast was good and efficient (with - admitted - waiting queues again) and the room was absolutely great: very up-to-date, with some funny 'led light art' and an excellent bed, small but stylish room. Good location too, near the ring roads and walking distance to the center. Will likely be here more frequently, just a bit cautious about the queues in this very, very big hotel.

“Loved the Experience!”

Great location- walking distance from Arc De Triomphe. Surrounded by best of restaurants, shopping location and theaters. For a change, I also had an Indian restaurant close to the hotel. Superb lobby very well lit, very courteous concierge services, and great breakfast selection. I was mighty impressed with the rooms size, decor and cleanliness. A must stay in Paris. Highly recommended!

“Conference stay at Le Meridien Etoile”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

Le Meridien Etoile is a business hotel conveniently located just across Paris' Convention Center "Le Palais de Congres". That being said one expects such a hotel experience.
We stayed late January for 3 nights in a renovated room. Cozy, stylish but small. Bathroom was new and well appointed.
Rooms can overlook the inner court or the streets. Ours overlooked the street behind the hotel, not much to see but quite and with natural light.
Excellent breakfast with grains, fresh fruits, omelets etc and choice of coffee upon demand.
All the personel we dealt with was professional and friendly.
Small water bottle in the mini bar cost 7.50 euros! And yes, you can drink tap water in Paris.
All in all a convenient hotel if you're in Paris for a meeting. Subway station is only meters away and can take you everywhere. Walking distance to Arc du Thriomphe, Champs Élysées, avenues Foche, etc.

Room Tip: Ask for a renovated room, preferably with some views.

“Dusty, old, overrated”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012 via mobile

I ve choosen the hotel due to its location and overhelming site! It seem a brand new hotel, but to be honest its quite old and expensive. You are paying more then everything else its location and brand. The rooms are tiny, dusted and old. Old carpets, courtins and furtniture. The toilet is refurbished and new but the sink didnt work well. The brakfast was quite ok. To wrapmup i was badly surprised by the hotel, specially the confort of the room.

Dear Alvi_leite

Thank you for sharing your observations with us on tripadvisor; I was disappointed to read that you did not enjoy your stay in our hotel and that you found your room tiny. Compared to the other parisian hotels of our category, our rooms size are on line. We have a large variety of room in the hotel and I regret that you did not contact the Duty Manager to get a larger one. If you change your mind of staying here again, please let me know and I will ensure you have a comfortable stay ! Please feel free to let me know.

Warm regards

“Security problems at the hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

person found this review helpful

I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights with around 400 other delgates for a Congress at Palais des Congres. The hotel is well situated, nearby communications and restaurants. The rooms are clean and cozy but the bathrooms/ toilets are a little bit on the old side ( wall paper falling off the edges, OLD toilet bowl and flushing system). the service was ok, I guess. The coffee at breakfast was served in thermoses and not excepcionally good. The bar personnel can not take and order from 10 persons/1 tab at once, they looked distracted and even a bit annoyed although we were ordering expensive drinks. But the worst part was that some of the persons in our party were robbed as we were out at a party. I know you shouldn't leave valuables in your rooms but you hardly expect to be robbed in that kind of hotel, especially inthe "executive" (6th floor) level. Jewelry, money, camera, lap- top were stolen. When my friend talked to the police they told that they had had problems at this hotel before. Alltogether an unpleasant experience for a (not) 5 star hotel.

Dear CZEU,

Thank you for your feedback about your stay. I was delighted to read that the location of our property, facing Le palais des congrés and near the transport facilities, were up to your liking. I was however disappointed to read that there were certain parts of your stay that gave cause to less positive comments. I regret not having the opportunity to meet you during your stay. I would have seen the issues for myself and oversee the remedial work. Our 4 star hotel takes guest safety very seriously and ensures that our customers are also vigilant in being aware of the security measures of our Hotel while our guest.
If you change your mind about staying here again, please let me know and I will ensure you will have a more comfortable stay.

Warm regards
