We were in Paris for only one night, popping over while visiting London for our anniversary. The hotel was definitely in a decent location, although we got lost trying to find it riding the Metro. Once we got to the hotel, we were vastly relieved, and were able to check in right away. The front desk staff were helpful and pleasant.
Getting out of the tiny elevator on our floor we were met with complete darkness. The elevator door closed behind us as we were still groping to try to find a light switch or a door, or some source of light. After a few frantic moments, we found a switch. A little advance notice would have been helpful, though.
The room was spacious enough, with a small kitchenette and bathroom. However, the floor, the bedding, the shelves, and the bathroom were all dirty. It wasn't even close to being clean.
The bed was too firm and I wasn't comfortable at all. Thank goodness we only stayed one night.
There is no air conditioning, which is fine, but the hotel was very warm. They did have a fan, thank goodness, which lasted exactly one night, dying the next day just before we checked out. I would melt in hot weather in this hotel.
