I met my friend in Paris for a three days stay as he was already here for a week for work.
the hotel itself is in a prime location directly within a shot-eye and walking distance to the Opera House.
for those of you (like me) who have to have your Starbucks, there is one conveniently a block away.
Now the room we are is an upgrade from a standard room to a Jr. Suite with 2 twin beds AND a balcony with views of the Opera House. The room is fairly large for European standards.
The toilet is separated from the shower, adding privacy and ease of use shower facilities.
We ordered room service late one night (11pm) and it was terrible. I ordered a Penne Bolognaise and it was cold and tasted pre-heated. My friend had a Chicken Club with bacon sandwich and it was pretty good. His sandwich was better than my dish, which i didn't eat.
Even though the room menu states that all dishes are available 24/24, that wasn't the case when i ordered the grilled beef dish but was told the Chef was gone for the night and that i would have to select another dish.
Other than the room service snafu, the service is great and the staff very attentive and helpful.
A nice treat for a mid-week getaway!
