We stayed in the Timhotel Opera Madeleine in September 2011 for four nights. The hotel was clean and the room was spacious with a small balcony to get some much needed fresh air, as it was unusually hot when we were visiting. The staff in the hotel were very helpful and friendly. The location was fantastic as we were right in the centre of the city and did not have to walk too far to any attraction. We didn't have to take a train or bus once! Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely chose the hotel if returning to Paris.

Lovely little hotel in the center of Paris, right next to two great department stores and Gare St. Lazare. The room was really small, but there was everything we needed. The breakfast buffet from 7-11 am was fantastic. With coffee, tea, juice, different kinds of bread, cheese, yogurt, fruit and etc. From this hotel you are in walking distance from every turist attraction in Paris. We never used any kind of public transport or taxi.
The service at the hotel was amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived to hours ahead of check in, but in 15 min we had a nice clean room. And when we left we could store our luggage in a room until our departure. If i ever come back to Paris i will stay there. Remember to check out the "offer of the month" its a great bargain.

My friend and l stayed at the hotel for about eight days. The location was excellent, a few steps away from gare st lazare. You could go anywhere in Paris with the station being a major train interchange of sorts.The location was also close by to the shopping belt with printemps and galleries lafayette just a short walk away. The rooms were small, but that was to be expected in Paris. The rooms were also basic but we were not in Paris to sleep. There was one person in reception that I would like to mention who was was extremely helpful and friendly, Monica. She was able to let us first timers know where to head to for food and where to head to for shopping. She also was willing to help us with our numerous questions, and all with a smile. She made our stay at the hotel that much better with her service.

This hotel had a great location. Minutes walk to central shopping, directly opposite Grand Lazare Station, 2 blocks from Paris Hop on Hop off bus tours. Louvre was 15 minutes walk. The hotel is average, we stayed in a family room, enough beds however no room for 3 x bags. Bathroom was very average. We were told upon check in that breakfast was included, however upon checkout we were charged extra for the breakfast. 10 euros per person was per day - and it was definately not worth it. When questioned about the breakfast charge, we were simply told "my colleague was mistaken" and still expected to pay. So much for the customer is always right. I would only stay here for location, probably would not return to this hotel.
