“Perfect location !great staff!”

I have stayed here twice and plan to return again this March. I can tell you that as a regular visitor to Paris..this hotel is in the PERFECT location. You can walk to everywhere from here and the Metro is basically across the street. There are also nice places to eat in the area ( try Le Souffle- steps away and L'Ardoise-excellent food..and Angelinas tea house down the street has hot chocolate to die for!) The rooms are typical for Europe and very clean and the lobby has a lovely waiting area and news papers and magazines always available to look at. Breakfast is available and very reasonable. The staff is amazing...friendly, professional and helpful. Stay here and it will not disappoint!

“Location, Location, Location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

Having stayed at the Mayfair twice I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Paris. The location simply can't be beat. Yes, as other reviewers have said it is not a 4 star hotel. You are also not paying a 4 star price. It does however have wonderful staff, clean as a whistle and they will upgrade your room if one is available. Comments about noise, well, Paris is noisy. Can't say anything about breakfast as we never got up in time to have it. Close to everything you want to see, do and eat in Paris. If you expect a "Hilton" type experience this one is not for you. If you want to be steeped in the culture of the city stay here. I would also recommend their car hire service from the airport if you are a first time visitor to Paris and not familiar with the metro system. Worth every Euro after a long flight.

“Great room in a great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 December 2011

The Hotel Mayfair is near the Rue de Rivoli and Jardin de Tuileries and Place de laConcorde -- ideal location! We had a "family room" which consisted of two twin beds plus a pull out couch in a suite-like two room layout, which worked out perfectly for two adults and two small children (7 and 9 years old). The bathroom was very spacious with both a shower and a huge jacuzzi tub. Overall the service was good. Breakfast was terribly overpriced, so I would not recommend that. If you need a taxi, allow lots of extra time because it takes a while for the staff to call one.

“very shady ; noise starts at 7am”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 December 2011

Located on a back street where the only view is the garbage collection from the Westin Hotel. Horrible noise which is a combo of 7am trash removal and 8am hammering from the building next door undergoing construction. Internet access is a hit or miss. No hair conditioner in the bathroom. Beds are hard and pillows lumpy. Breakfast is stingy. All in all a terrible experience. At most a 2-star hotel. Go somewhere else, there are plenty of other hotels around.

Room Tip: don't pick a room facing the street or the south (noise noise noise)

“Great experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 December 2011

It is difficult to find in Paris a more dedicated and friendly staff as you will find in the Hotel Mayfair.

The location is great. Across the street you will find Jardin des Tuileries. One and a half block away is Place Vendome. Going the other way is Place de la Concorde. Some of the most interesting places in Paris are in walking distance.

My wife and I are looking forward to our next trip to Paris.
