very good hotel , excellent location the grocery , train station , taxi is within 2-3 minute walking distance many multicuisne restaurants avaible within the vicinity of 5-10 minutes walk.
all the seight seeing places are with 10 mintes my train or by taxi.
its really value for money .
very friendly staffs they will advice you on very piece of information u need.
neat and clean with all the necessities available.
only piece of advice ..though the front desk is 24 hours but support staffs are not there after 7pm .they should have 24x7 coffe shop within the hotel

So my friend and i stood at this hotel from 4/13/2011-4/17/2011. When we got there we found out that they were doing construction in the hotel. The building smelled a lot of pain. There were construction materials all over. They gave us a room on the 2nd floor and the paint smell was so strong that we had to ask them for a different room. The heating system was broken in the first room and also in the 2nd room. The rooms are tiny!!. They don't even have an iron in the rooms. If you need one, you have to ask to borrow it from the front desk. The only decent thing about this hotel was the breakfast and some of the staff. The cleaning crew were polite and nice. There was one lady at the front desk who tried her best to accommodate us. But there was a guy in the front desk that was just unpleasant to deal with. The last day of our stay we got up early to go get breakfast and afterward we wanted to head out to try to buy something before checking out. When we were heading out it was 9:00am and check out was 11:00am. The unpleasant/rude worker from the front desk had the nerve to chase us down the streets like we were thieves to question us when we were coming back because check out was at 11am. Mind you all of our luggage and bags were still in the room at this point. He had the nerve to tell us that we cannot plan to stay another day at the hotel since they are booked for that day and they need the room. We told this person that it was never our intention to stay another night since we have a plane to catch in a few hours. i would definitely not recommend this hotel at all. We stood at this place because we wanted to save some money and at the end we regretted that decision. The hotel is close to the metro, which is the only good thing about it.

The hotel had just been renovated & some part was still under renovation. The front desk staff lady was fantastic, spoke gr8 english & was very helpful. She also gave us a complimentary breakfast since we had a one night stay & hotel was under renovation. Very close to metro but not very close to the opera area as the hotel name may suggest.

Pros:
First class staff, very cheerful and very helpful
Location - 17eme close to ROME metro close (walking) to Centre, Opera, Montmartre
Excellent value for money
Good breakfast - hot/cold
Local restaurants, cafes, bars between Rome & Villiers metros.

Cons
Renovation work underway - but....this will improve the hotel
Some rooms 'noisy' ( walls thin - you might hear 'plumbing'/flushing, etc.)
Bath (in my room) needed replacing.

Enjoyed our stay, liked the location - Manager & team keen to help you enjoy your stay & improve their hotel.

At the price - a good, solid, welcoming Paris Hotel
