My husband and I stayed at this hotel as part of our honeymoon in November 2009. We loved the hotel and it is conveniently located close to Champs Elysee (5 minute walk). I can't comment on the price of the hotel as it was part of a package deal from our travel agent, but from what I saw the breakfast is expensive for what they offer (15euros for a few croissants, buns, eggs and coffee) You would be better off getting breakfast from Starbucks on Champs Elysee.

Other than that the hotel was fantastic. It was spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bell boy was very friendly and he helped us with taxi's and explained which train to get to Disneyland.

I would love to go back to this hotel again.

Outside appearence very nice, closeness to to arc de triomphe is 5 mins walk,avenue des champs-elysees is end of street,inside reception very clean and smart,lift to floors and rooms, our room was a double classic, very clean and tidy, shower and bathroom roomy and clean, room was cleaned every day with replaced towels daily, there was no noise from either the hotel nor outside, and we looked out at the main street,we stayed 5 nights, we did not have breakfast any time during our stay, we prefered to eat out in the parissian bistro's and cafe,s, thats a lot cheaper than the 17 euro's in the hotel and nicer, there you mingle with the locals and enjoy the way of life,Thomas the guy on reception booked our trip to the moulin rouge with dinner and a taxi, for my partner's birthday,it was a fantastic show and dinner with champagne, all in all the holiday went brilliantly, with no hickups at all,paris is a must see and do all.

My husband and I decided to go to Paris on September, 2010. After my entire incessant, almost insane, search for a hotel in Paris (everything looked the same, after hundreds of hotels’ pictures), I thought the Best Western Hotel Elysees Bassano was a good option. The price of the package (hotel plus flight) sold by Orbitz seemed a good deal. I have some requirements which I don’t make exception at the booking time, like WIFI availability, well located hotel, clean and comfortable rooms, not necessarily chic. Based in these items, the only thing that was worth staying in this hotel was its location. Regarding the other requirements, the hotel completely failed. The hotel is near of Champs Elysées, subway, and a lot of restaurants. Very convenient location! We saved a lot of euros by not using taxis. On the other hand, it was almost impossible to use the WIFI internet. The internet just worked one day, in the other 6 days, we had to use the computer located in the reception which was very inconvenient: after a tired day and some blisters, you just want to take a bath, wear comfortable clothes, and use the computer in your own bed. The room was very small and dark! Very depressing decoration, it seemed I was in the Draculas’s room. I can’t say that the room was not cleaned, however the minibar smelled like spoiled food. We complained about it to the receptionist, and then they tried to resolve the problem, but the smell still remained. After that, we did not open the minibar again! Neither we ate anything in the minibar. The bathroom was renovated with adequate space. Definitely this hotel doesn’t have soundproofing walls at all. We can hear everything from the other rooms……I mean everything. All in all, I think this hotel is overpriced; you can get a better hotel for 270 dollars per night.

I did not like the fact that the front desk staff was not accommodating at all and rude. After being informed of my flight cancellation prior to checking in, I was charged full price for the first night stay even though I could not make it that night (out of my control). Lack of personal touch. It was my honeymoon and by far the worst hotel to spend a honeymoon at. This is not a complaint to the hotel, I already tried speaking to them about this. Paris is a beautiful city, so my trip wasn't totally ruined.

AU CONTRAIRE, location was great and hotel seems to have underwent renovations which gave it that modern feel.
