The hotel is 5 minutes walk from the nearest Metro station, but the stations 10 minutes walk are on more convenient lines for the tourist sites. There is a small supermarket just across the road which has a wide range of items.
The good things about the room were that it was clean, the bed was large (king size) and comfortable and there was a flat screen TV with a few French, English and Spanish channels to flick through. The bathroom was okay, with a good power shower, but small cubicle. The toilet was separate from the bathroom which meant that not one person was hogging all the facilities.
The not-so-good things about the room were that the furniture was a little old, there were no drawers to put your clothes in and the wardrobe was not deep enough for hanging clothes so it was a fight to open and close the doors as clothes were always jamming in them. Also there was only room for one bedside table. There was a large desk, so we just piled everything on that. The room was quite noisy and if you weren't used to traffic noise it would be very disturbing as the hotel is on a busy road on one side. The Metro also runs under the hotel so you can hear that every couple of minutes.
The room cleaning was also a bit hit and miss, as although there seemed to be bags of sheets, hoovers, etc piled by the lift and in the doorways all day, the cleaner didn't come until about 5.30pm one day when we had just returned from a long tiring day out and didn't really want our room cleaned at that time.
The reception staff were efficient and spoke English. The breakfast (juice, rolls, croissants, scrambled egg/sausage, coffee, etc) was sufficient to keep you going until lunch. The breakfast room was very quiet, but it was a struggle to find a clean table as they did not seem to be cleared and re-set once people had finished.
There were a couple of places to eat back in the direction of La Fayette. The best one we found was "Au General La Fayette" in Rue La Fayette which was more restaurant than bistro and had a very good range of food from burgers to snails!! The menu was available in English and the staff also spoke English.
All-in-all the hotel is a good base to sleep if you are going to be out all day sightseeing.

Dear valuable guests,

I hope your stay was good enough even if you specify some discrepancies. from breakfast to front desk to room cleaning services, we all try to make our best to satisfy your single expectations. Sometimes and depending hotel occupancy, room cleaning service may be really overcharged and delay may extend. 5h30 pm is particulary late, I'm agree with you and I apology for this.
Noise may be very disabling for your comfort but just be aware that all our rooms are equiped with double glazing. Paris is Paris, city of lights, she never sleeps. If you suffer from light sleeping, we will be happy to give you a room on the upper foors and/or back on the courtyard.
I hope to meet you soon.
