We stayed at the Hotel Sydney Opera for seven nights in October 2011 following several weeks in Europe. We were apprehensive, to say the least, after staying in another name brand hotel in Rome. However, we couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised.

The room was very modern, exceptionally clean and a good size with plenty of space for suitcases and lots of cupboards. The bathroom was large compared to others with a full bath and both rooms had windows overlooking the street which we left open each night to allow for fresh air. And what really surprised and pleased us was an electric jug in our room which allowed us to make cups of tea and coffee, a luxury in European hotels it seems.

The continental breakfast was amongst the best we had experience during our entire stay and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is centrally located enabling us to walk to all major attractions. It is a five minute walk to the railway station and a five minute walk to the hop-on hop-off bus. It is also a five minute walk from some of the best shopping we've seen.

We truly enjoyed our stay in this wonderful hotel and would definitely stay there again should the opportunity arise.

Stayed for 2 nights in October 2011 and were pleasantly surprised. Great location, close to metro and in walking distance to Louvre and Champs Elysee. Roissy airport bus stop around 500 metres away.
Reception staff friendly and helpful (didn't charge us for a water taken from mini bar as we didnt have the right change).
Room small but sufficient, bathroom and toilet a bit dated but fine. We only had a little problem with the room temperature which we thought was a bit too low.
Breakfast in hotel lobby was quite good and the service staff was polite and quick. However tables are very small and limited in number.

We stayed 5 nights at this hotel in May. It is well located, within walking distance to main attractions and stores along Boulevard Haussman. Our room was bright and spotlessly clean. The buffet breakfast included baguettes, croissants, a selection of cheeses and jams, yogurts, fruit salad, eggs and custard. There is a computer in the lobby where there are lots of newspapers and magazines for guests to read. The front desk staff was polite and helpful. Would definitely go back.
We recommend the chinese restaurant in the Galeries Lafayette nearby.

I've stayed in many hotels across Paris over the last 10 years and have found this hotel be the best yet in quality for the price paid. The room was very clean, smartly laid out and comfortable. The staff was courteous and friendly. I truly enjoyed my stay at this hotel and will endeavor to stay there whenever I am in Paris.
