This Hotel is in a very convenient location for the Centre of Paris but it's tired, dirty and lacks nearly every facuility that you would normally expect from a 4 star hotel. It does not have a restaurant for evening meals, no bar in the evenings. Staff are generally not very helpful. We arrived at 10pm and there was no-one to help with our bags until we asked. the carpets are very dirty.
Overall there is no way we would stay here again. This hotel is 3 star at best.

This place is absolutely disgusting. We found it to be in a relatively convenient part of town but the facilities are just run down and I hope nobody stays here. The entire hotel is under major reconstruction, loud jack hammers and construction workers throughout the inside and outside of the building during all hours of the day/night/weekends. From 6am to 6pm, you can expect not a single moment of peace and quiet. Most rooms are smoking and smell like a garbage can, most rooms do not have air conditioning and in fact our air conditioner did not even work. The ceilings had watermarks on them from leaky pipes and the decor is definatley feels like it came from the salvation army. The bathrooms are unfinished and awkward to be in. The beds are twin mattresses, smelly as all hell, disgusting to be in, and do not have a box spring and are hard as a rock. Given that this place is on a busy street in the morning and there is no air conditioning there will be no sleeping in. Further, the constructing workers peer into all the rooms while you are in there and I wouldn't be suprised if they steal people's belongings when they go out. Lastly, there is construction equipment, fumes, paint canes, and raw materials laying all over the hotel that will make you feel like you are sleeping in the streets. This place is a nightmare, and the staff are rude and unhelpful. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere/anywhere else. $1,600 for 5 nights, completely outrageous

Unless you like an old run down place, filthy carpets, extremely noisy rooms, listening to converqsations of your neighbour, not funtioning airco, curtains that partly fall off the rails,noisy water piping, very slow elevators, no lobby and grumpy staff. And all that for the price of a good quality 4 start hotel which this is not at all.

Sometimes you read a trip advisor review and wonder if you are on a different planet, sometimes you should take notice of the numbers.

This hotel fits into the latter category.

On the positive side the location is superb giving you walking distance to many of the major tourist destinations in Paris.

Dark interior, a lift that comfortably fits two people, poor breakfast options, no restaurant, promised free wifi that I finally discovered works in the stairwell between floor 4 & 5 only (day manager confessed that he never found anywhere in the hotel that it worked), desktop in lobby broken and removed.. And on it goes.

Reviewers bang on about wifi but in a country where a tourist finds it impossible to feet a simple prepaid sim card for an iPad, wifi is important....and unfortunately no Starbucks close by.

This is the only hotel in the world where I have opened the room door to see a rat disappearing into the bathroom and from there to who knows where.

The only possible excuse for the hotel is that it is under renovation, many would say demolition was a better option.

A really poor introduction to Europe from a traveller used to SE Asian standards.

One visit is one too many
