“Great little find in Ideal location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 February 2012

Hotel
Location of Hotel was Perfect litrally 2 Minutes to Métro Maubert-Mutualité and Easy access to most of Paris attractions if you have a map and like walking, It was about 20 Minutes to Louvre 30 to Eifel Tower, But the Metro is cheap and easy to use a 24 Hour travel card is just under €7 so really affordable unlike the rest of Paris.

The rooms In the Hotel are very small but Modern and comfortable and are kept scrupulously clean., Furnishings are in good condition and look new with a bright and stylish bathroom that offers good qaulity complimentry toiletries and big fluffy towels, also a very small but free Safe in the wall,

The only slight negative was that as the rooms were so small they got very Hot even in Feburary and we had to open the large window which then made the room noisy.

I wouldn't recconmend taking large Luggage as the lift was tiny but we just used the stairs.

The Hotel also offeres free WIFI but we didn't use that service so can't comment.

The Reception staff were all really friendly and helpful at all times.

Paris on the otherhand

Paris wasn't what I expected it to be, It is very dirty, the streets are litered in rubbish and Dog mess everywhere so be careful where you walk, and the Beggers really get on your nerves, they are very pushy at demanding money, they even hound you on the metro, also some of the metro stations are lived in by several homeless people which the authorities do nothing about and especilly of a night this can be very intimidating waiting for the Metro.
Around some of the attractions people hand you a piece of green "Lucky Cotton" that if you take they then demand €5 Euros from you, and if you try and give it back they get very abusive, we didn't get caught out like this but several people did
Last point is Paris is not Cheap, I was expecting similar to London but not even close the average price of a Continental Breakfast comprising of Glass of OJ, Coffee and Croissante is 9€, average price of a small glass of Wine or small Beer is 5€, a Bottle of wine in a street Cafe was at least 30€ the same wine in Crrafour was less than 2€ so a hugh mark up. so be warned you will need plenty of money just for a couple of days.

All in all Loved the little hotel, and seeinmg all the sites but don't think I'll return to Paris.

“Ideally located”

Very easy access to Métro Maubert-Mutualité and the bus service towards Gare de Lyon, and an easy short walk to the Latin quarter and the left bank.
The rooms are kept scrupulously clean.
Reception staff are professional and were extremely helpful in assisting me to access their wifi. Once connected, the broadband worked well.
Furnishings are in good condition with a bright and stylish bathroom. As often in Paris, the room was small, the lift tiny and although the hotel no doubt complies with local standards, I wouldn't like to be there in a fire. The signed fire exit from my room was down the main staircase that curves around the lift shaft. There didn't appear to be any other means of escape.
11 euros for a rather rudimentary breakfast buffet is a bit steep but there are plenty of atmospheric cafes within a couple of minutes walk for a coffee and croissant for less than half that price.
I'll certainly try to stay there again on my next visit to Paris.

“Clean, convenient and compact”

Stayed there for our honeymoon and the most affordable we found in the latin quarter.
Easy to find and get to by train to Maubert-Mutaliate station and sights like Notre Dame.
Staff are friendly particular the little lady who vaccums and makes breakfast for you in the little den down below. DOnt plan on bringing too much luggage as lift is tiny, and can fit 2 large bags and 1 person, or 2 people and 1 bag.
Rooms are super tiny, but i think most paris hotels are like this. Air con was particular strong, maybe cos rooms were small and bed was comfortable.
I hear there are aprtments in the latin quarter that can be rented short term. Will consider this or book at Agora again if heading to Paris again.

“A Good Place to Stay in Paris”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 December 2011

Aside from the fact that all of Paris appears too pricey for what you get, this Hotel in the Latin Quarter is clean, conveniently located near Notre Dame and best of all has a friendly and very helpful staff. Having researched on-line many hotels for the past two years, I have not found one that has met our finicky or financial needs as well as this on!
