Beautifully decorated rooms, with modern facilities. We stayed in a family room, with excellent views of the Invalides within easy walking distance of the Eiffel Tour. Great range of restaurants in the area.

This hotel was a great base to explore Paris. Room was surprisingly spacious -- especially the bathroom, unusual in European cities. However, since we were on the top floor, walls slanted in and it was a bit difficult to walk around the bed than it was in our friends' room on a floor below. Neighborhood was lovely, near the pedestrian market/cafe street of Rue Cler, and very quiet yet convenient to many city attractions. Staff was helpful. Main complaint was the elevator -- I expected small and slow, but complete unavailability many mornings was not expected, and somewhat inconvenient when staying on the 6th floor. Only other nit: The breakfast was overpriced -- not really a problem since we ate at nearby cafes instead. But these are small points. I would return to the hotel and recommend it to my friends. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because to me, a 5-star hotel needs to be a truly extraordinary experience. However, if I could give this 4.5 stars, I would.

I am truly happy that thanks to Trip Advisor I found this perfect spot right in the middle of great neighbourhood. I walked a lot, so I could reach almost everything I wanted by walking. Also I felt safe in the area so that was a bonus because I traveled alone.
Also I could say the best about the room - after 10 hours or more of walking it was great to come back and lay down in that huge bed :) I was alone, so the room size was fine for me. The bathroom was actually surprisingly large and the materials, towels and everything else was qualitative.
I wouldn't recommend breakfast - one should enjoy Parisian cafes instead of standart hotel breakfast offer.
I would stay there again! No doubts :)

This small hotel is quiet and beautifully decorated, with comfortable beds, modern bathrooms, and outstanding views. For the most part, the staff is professional and helpful. They helped us with dinner reservations, airport transport, and finding a beautiful church for Sunday mass. Stay here If you want to live like a Parisian in a lovely, quiet neighborhood. If you prefer a more standardized, international experience (huge elevators, English-language television, 100+ staff to whom you can bark orders in English without so much as a merci...), please stay somewhere else, and leave L'Empereur for the rest of us. We'll be back.
