My wife and I spent 3 nights in the hotel while in paris. The hotel was highly rated and reasonably priced (for paris). The best part of the hotel is the location, just a few blocks from the amazing latin/german quarter. Lots of good restaurants, bars in this area. Plus the Gardens are just 2 blocks down the road. The gardens are simply amazing, one of the highlights of our trip was simply relaxing on the many benches. The tourist bus system "le' open" was just a block also so it is a easy way to hop on the double decker bus to hit all the tourist sites.
The hotel itself was clean and pretty nice. It is older and the parisian fashion shows. rooms are small, beds are small, tv is small, but the bathroom is really small. It doesn't help that I am a big dude either but my wife is tiny and she felt the same way. We never ate anything from the hotel so I can't comment on the food. We always grabbed something in one of the cafe's in the morning. The room was stocked with some water, beer, soda, chocolate, etc. Enough to get by if you need something to eat/drink. Be careful when reserving your room, I thought i was reserving a pantheon view room instead i reserved a garden room. My fault though. I had to pay up another 50 bucks to stay in a room with a view per night, which we did bc the view is pretty awesome. Looking out the window onto the pantheon and plaza was amazing. i remember the bed being comfortable and I slept well. The elevator is scary and i used it only once, we walked the stairs the rest of the time there.
So bottom line, if you want american style hotel with big rooms/bathrooms you won't find it here but you will find nice people and good/clean accomodations.

I probably won't come back here bc i like to explore new hotels but i am comfortable recommending it to others.

Me and my wife spent 5 nights at Hotel des Grands Hommes during the Holliday season and I have to say that everything went perfectly well during our stay. This is a very charming hotel with a very friendly staff, always happy to help with any request. Yes, the rooms are small as most of the hotel rooms in Paris are but if you are not traveling with a lot of luggage this should not be a concern. We stayed at room 61 at the top floor and the room has a lovely balcony(which we didn't use since it was 1 degree C outside) and a great view. Location is great right across the Pantheon and a short walk away from jardin du Luxembourg, Notre Damme Cathedral and saint germain de pres. We even walked to the Louvre but for those who doesn't enjoy long walks there are a couple of metro stations 2 blocks away.

This was our first time in Paris and the hotel was in a great location for walking and travelling all over the city. The staff were all very friendly and spoke wonderful English. The decor was beautiful and just what we expected. Is really close to Luxembourg station and within 15 minutes walk of Notre Dame, 25 minutes walk to Louvre - fantastic! Loads of great restaurants and cafes nearby with good value menus. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone. Only slight disappointment was that there were renovations going on and we weren't informed before our arrival. Nothing too disruptive as we were out most of the day but we had booked a superior room with a view of the pantheon and the view was pretty restricted and we were still charged full amount. Wouldn't put me off returning though.

I stayed here last week on my trip to Paris. I found it a lovely hotel in the best possible location. From CDG airport, it was only a 22 minutes train ride to Luxumburg stop and a 2 min walk to the hotel. The hotel is right across from Pantheon and you can even see the tip of Eiffel Tower! There are some wonderful cafes on the same street where you can have your breakfast(There is a lovely Creperie, dont miss it!)It is alsoo a walking distance to many attractions as well, not very close but a pleasant walk. You just walk down St. Michelle Blvd, and there in front is the Seine! If you take a right turn, you can go to Notre Dame, and le Marais, and if you take a left turn, you can walk down to the Louvre, Versaille, Eiffel Tower and Champs Elysees, and many more.
The hotel staff were very friendly and very helpful. Although it was high season, the hotel was very quiet at night.
Classic rooms are slightly small but OK if you are travelling solo. The room was charming and very clean. It was a beautiful hotel and I recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in a place quiet but close enough to all the action in Paris!
