You cross over the bridge to the Left Bank, pass Notre Dame de Paris and begin turning down narrow streets that look like a movie set. The Christine street was opened in 1607 and the Relais Christine was built from a 16th century plan, standing between an inner courtyard and a garden. Your taxi stops in front of the beautiful 5 story courtyard - perfection. A bellman comes out to welcome you and take your luggage. And as you approach entrance, you almost hear Edith Piaf singing La Vie en Rose - I half expected to see Woody Allen in the Lobby. The staff is gracious and more than helpful. The building has been exceptionally refurbished - modern yet warm - muted colors, upholstered walls, exceptional portraits and art on the walls. A fire and "Honesty bar" beckoned from the Salon. We had a Garden Suite - classic, tailored, elegant, and large - A living room with couch bed and desk and bedroom - two bathrooms - and the toiletries - Ooh la la! the best ever. We had French doors in the living room to the courtyard and French doors to the garden from the bedroom.
It is a small hotel and you feel like an honored guest in a great friend's home. The WIFI and car park is complimentary (what a concept) and it has all the amenities of a small five star hotel plus a full gym and spa with masseuse. You can rent a car or borrow a bike.
Wonderful restaurants and shopping within walking distance.
Relais Christine will make you fall in love with Paris.
Room Tip: Ask for a non- smoking room - The upholstered walls keep the smell and if you are a non- smoker - th...

Dear madam, dear sir,
First, we wish to thank you for taking the time to learn more about the history of Le Relais Christine. Indeed, we are lucky to stand in a typical historical building, also knowing that our foundations are estimated to be from the 13th Century !
We also cannot thank you enough for writing, more than a comment, the spontaneous impressions you had while staying with us.
There cannot be better reward to us that we make our guests fall in love with Paris.
We hope that on your next stay, we will have the opportunity to let you discover other Parisian hidden gems!
Sincerely,
Jean-Luc Chomat
