“Great Sized Rooms and Central Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

Just returned from 4 days in Paris, and for once the Hotel exceeded expectations. This was our first time at the Hotel Regina, but will not be the last.

The hotel oozes character and all the charm of a bygone era. Despite only booking a standard double room, we had a huge room by Paris standards, light, with high ceilings, and a good sized bathroom. Double doors opened out onto a small Juliette balcony with views over the Jardin des Tuileries and the Eiffel Tower.

All that and a great location right on the Rue de Rivolli and 2 minutes from the Metro. The Opera with all its shops, bars and restaurants is a short stroll away, and there are plenty of cafes if you want to eat breakfast out, or just enjoy a coffee and people watching.

The only negative would be that the heating in the room was impossible to control. Yes it was the middle of winter, and snow was on the ground, but we ended up having to open up the window every hour just to let some cold air in.

Still it is a small price to pay for staying in such a lovely hotel.

Room Tip: Room 318 great views and good sized room

“Excellent Location”

My husband and I just returned (Feb'12), from the Regina Hotel. Our Hotel room was beautiful and we want to sincerely thank, Michel(Michael) at the front desk . He graciously helped us plan sights and events and had great patience, with our attempts to speak French. We would also like to thank the young ladies in the dining room, who also were very gracious. Regina's location is a definite plus when searching for an excellent starting point for travel and business. Merci!

“Lovely Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

Generally when traveling to Paris, I'm quite accustomed to rooms that I can barely stand up in which cost a fortune. This time, I was pleasantly surprised. The wooden wardrobe complete with mirrors was to die for and is the best closet (more like a mini room) I have ever seen in a hotel. The room was huge with plenty of extra room to move around even with our many luggage bags. The Concierge was extremely helpful with all our needs. If you have kids, during Summer the Tuileries Gardens has a fair open which is a fun experience. I was 8 years old on my first visit to Paris, and my only recollection of the trip was the fair.

“Beautiful Historic Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

If you are looking for a modern chain style hotel room then this place is definitely not for you. However, if you love the sophistication of old world charm, you cannot go wrong with Hotel Regina. The rooms all have high ceilings, antique furnishings and beautiful linens. Our "apartment" had a gorgeous built-in mahogany wardrobe and a magnificent view of th eTuileries and Eiffel Tower. The happily unpretentious reception staff could not have been more welcoming and the concierge was extremely helpful, especially with a last minute airport transfer in the wee hours. This hotel is directly across from the Louvre in the absolute center of Paris, a location that cannot be beat. On my last visit to the Regina, I was lucky to have a deeply discounted rate which made our stay all the more enjoyable.

“Charming, excellently located and friendly service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

This is our second visit to this lovely hotel, which is located centrally, next to the Louvre and the Tuilleries Gardens, We stayed in a nice (small) room on the 4th floor with views of the Tuilleries, Rue de Rivoli and the Tour Eiffel.
The room wasn't cheap, but was well maintained, clean and had great views of the city. Food in the restaurant is "OK" - and the hotel doesn't make any more of it than that - but the English Bar is excellent, in lovely Art Nouveau surroundings.

Top tip - the Fragonard products on sale in the hotel shop are cheaper than Fragonard!

Well rcommended

Room Tip: 1st floor at the back for massive, high ceilinged rooms, 4th floor at the front for great views
