“location, service, price - excellent”

Stayed five nights in the cold snap during Feb when it snowed in Paris - It was a delight to walk back into the hotel, which was always lovely and warm. The room was beautifully heated, the view from the balcony window, although opening onto the street, still had a view of the Tuilleries. Our room was in fact very spacious. The bed was massive, and everything lovely and clean. ( I suggest this fifth floor room) Handy to have the elevator - there are still hotels in Paris without them. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, and made us feel comfortable - organised tour bookings, taxi's etc as we cannot speak French. We felt welcome here, and would definately stay here again. The location is outstanding - minutes walk to the Louvre, metro, restaurants, and of course tuilleries.

Room Tip: There are larger room options

“Location, location, location!”

As many reviewers have already stated, the room is small, but comfortable, clean, and most importantly it has location, location, location as you can see by the photo taken from our balcony (room #66) looking toward the Tuillieries. Everything is within walking distance and you can catch the bato-boats if you’d rather not walk. The Roissy bus stop at the Opera is about a 10 minute walk away (10 euro’s/person) and there were four buses at the Opera at 8:30 am when we were leaving for the airport so we didn’t have a wait (they run every 15 or so minutes). This was a Friday to Tuesday trip for us so it was important that it was easy to get to the hotel and walk everywhere we wanted to go and get back to CDG. The hotel elevator is small like everyone has described it, 2 people or 1 person and a bag or two (180 KG limit). We didn’t find it to be a problem even though we wanted to be on the top floor (6th). We didn’t turn on the heat in the room, but it got warm so we opened the doors to cool it down and there wasn’t a lot of street noise. The walls are thin and we did have a neighbor that watched TV until the wee hours of the morning (flat screen TV’s are mounted on the wall). The only thing I would do differently if we returned would be to not prepay for the breakfast. It was okay, but I don’t think it was worth 14 euro’s/person. We found a great patisserie a block up (left on Rue St. Honore) so that would have been an option for breakfast goodies too since we found the sandwiches were good there. There is also a small market across the street from it where we bought fruit, yogurt and other stuff to snack on. The prices were reasonable.

Room Tip: We looked at a couple of rooms and liked the rooms with the glass doors facing the street better tha...

“Great location in Paris”

Stayed four five nights in December. Can't comment about food as we were room only, but the room was great and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The two-person lift is an interesting feature!

As for location, to visit all the major tourist attractions in Paris I cannot imagine many places better located, and certainly not at this budget. Paris is not my favourite city, but if I go back, I'll be staying in the same hotel.

“Weekend city break in Paris”

Originally tried to book this hotel through Eurostar but their website was incompetent so I chose to book direct on the hotel's own website which worked very well. Choice was based on location- excellent for central Paris, close to Louvre, Tuilleries etc.
A warm welcome greeted us with staff who were both helpful and knowledgeable.
The room was well maintained, clean and large by hotel standards 25 sq. m. with a full internal bathroom (no extractor). It was warm with adjustable heating. Beds were very comfortable. There is a two person lift to all floors. There was a 24 hour receptionist who was always very helpful. Breakfast was adequate and could be taken either in the restauraunt/lobby area or as room service in one's room.
Overall an excellent choice and we would certainly stay again.

Room Tip: only stayed in one room so can't say what rear facing rooms are like. Ours was on 4th floor at t...
