Stayed for two nights on a business trip to always lovely Paris in mid-September. The hotel is quite well-located, with Les Halles and even the Louvre within easy walking distance, as well as good transport links nearby and lots of cafès and restaurants. Nothing to say about cleanliness, but I would expect something of a better view than an interior patio. This is a small hotel in an old building where space is scarce as in most similar locations in central areas of Paris (similar to London in this respect). Corridors are narrow, stairs are steep and the brakfast room has the funny feature that to access some seats you have to carefully remove the table first... This is compensated with nice baguettes and good quality pastries (although these don't seem to be available in quantity, as there is no buffet - or room for that). Overall, a very average hotel, with a 4-star rating but not even a pen or pencil or even a small paper block available in the room as one would expect in this category. Internet access is free but sometimes a bit slow, however I consider this a positive in comp+arison with, say, similarly rated hotels in London.

Booked a junior suite two weeks prior for two nights - wedding anniversary - not available on check in. We were gaurenteed that we would be moved to our suite the next day. We weren't. Ususl excuses. The room we had was small and stuffy - the A/C didn't work eben though they promised to fix it. The breakfast was on a tray and similar to the food you get on an economy flight.

We found the staff helpful (I left a lot of money in the safe at our previous hotel and the receptionist at the Victoires was so helpful in assisting us to recover it).

Room was small but clean, stylish and comfortable. Ditto the bathroom.

The location is truly superb - Montorgeuil is a great street, full of bustle, restaurants, grocers, bakers etc and super transport links, though it's a lovely walk to most places and will be even nicer when they finish the work on Les Halles.

Pedestrian street but taxis can get down and the hotel certainly was helpful in getting them for us

This hotel was the worst I have ever stayed in my life. The service was disgusting, they would not make reservations at restaurants or call taxis in rush hour for us. Our booking was "lost" and we ended up paying 900 euro per room per night.

The room was in the attic, and was so hot and stuffy, we were told they don't use air con until summer, it was july. Any request ws answered with a No.

I was an air stewardess and have stayed in so many hotels, I have never written on this site. Beware! Book somewhere else
