We came here with friends who had been there before and recommended it as a good and not expensive hotel. This time however we got other rooms.
Our rooms were unpractical. Difficult to get to and limited privacy (our room was right next to the breakfast area with only glass in between). Small room just big enough for a bed that is too short (I am 1.90m). Stairs to the bathroom and shower.
Worn-out, but clean.
We did not take breakfast in the hotel as it did not promise to be worthwhile. Instead found several cafe's close by that served breakfast.
The area is not very interesting, but the metro is at the end of the street.
Perhaps less expensive than other hotels, but if you are not on a very low budget there are better places to find.

Stayed for a short holiday in the summer and found the hotel to be reasonably priced and a good location close to the Oberkampf Metro station and some of the main thoroughfares. The room was small but clean but the bath had a screen with a one inch gap at the bottom which allowed water through and minor flooding when taking a shower but overall decent enough for the price and if all you want is somewhere to sleep then this is ideal.

I think this hotel could be quite good for the price - but only if you aren't on the ground floor. We were given room 7 which is directly adjacent to the breakfast area. As a result, we were woken just after 6 o'clock every morning by the crashing of cutlery and crockery, as the staff set up for the start of breakfast service at 7. This after a poor night's sleep in a very uncomfortable bed.
The only thing we had occasion to ask for was an extra pillow, as we were only given three between the two of us. The first time we asked we were told "I don't know where they are", the second request was met with a flat "No", and the third time the answer was "Yes", but the fourth pillow never materialised.
Breakfast was basic but quite good.

mould in bathroom,water leaking all over the floor from shower and a lot of outside noise.On the plus side the staff where helpful.Don't think the passage carpet has been cleaned for ages.
