As all others have said - location is second to none with major metro stops within a couple of minutes walk. Took about 45 minutes door to door from CDG Airport and under an hour to Versailles. Walk to banks of La Seine/Notre Damme in 10 mins. Plenty of restaurants/bars nearby yet peaceful location. Lobby floor was being relaid during our stay, but not a problem other than to find the reception desk in a different spot every time we came or went. They were happy to store our luggage before check in time and also after check out time as we spent the day in Paris before collecting our luggage and heading off to the airport for an evening flight. All receptionists spoke English but were very kind in allowing me to try out my meagre French first! Rooms small, as to be expected, and very basic - no tea/coffee tray, shampoos etc (bars of soap available in rooms and two plastic cups!) Shower is handheld, very basic wall mounted hairdryer, towels changed daily if required. Good heating/air conditioning in room as well as flat screen TV if you want it, plenty of hanging space for a short stay (we were there two nights). Don't expect The Ritz, but probably similar to Travel Lodge in terms of cleanliness/facilities and the beds were ulta-comfy. Got a reduced rate making it excellent value for almost Central Paris. Would recommend and definately stay again. Top Tip - mind your rear end when the doors close in the lift which carries two, but make sure you are very friendly with the person you share with!!

We arrrived in the middle of building work in the foyer but that didn't worry us.... we really enjoyed our stay Why?staff were friendly and it's the room that counts

We selected this hotel because of the reviews on TripAdvisor, its central position in a pleasant zone and the good price at the moment of our booking.
The room and the bathroom are a bit small, but you don't go to Paris to spend all your time in hotel! The most important thing, the bed, was very comfortable: mmmhhh!
One thing: after four days they didn't have changed our bed sheets. We complained at the receptionist and she told to us that the change is usually made every two days, and that we ought to tell before. We replied that this is not our work, but their: finally our bed had the sheet change it deserved!
We stayed one week and every day we made our breakfast at various boulangerie near the hotel; there is one few meters in the same street, with very good products.
The surroundings of the hotel are very pleasant (restaurants, nice shops, cafè) and quiet, considering that is in the city center. No risk of bad encounter at night.
The hotel it's a few steps from two Metro stations (Jussieu and Place Monge), the price is good and it's a very good choice if you want to visit Paris!

We had 2 rooms in October. The position of the hotel is good with the metro nearby and plenty of restaurants within walking distance, especially towards Place DÍtalie. The first room was too small for a couple but when we complained the second was fine, could be a little warm in summer as no air-con. There is no street noise.
The staff were typical french in that the receptionist who had made a mistake refused to acknowledge it but her team mate ensured the change in rooms. Breakfast good and the showers hot though a little slow waiting for the hot water too arrive.
All in all happy to stay again.
