We had 2 rooms in October. The position of the hotel is good with the metro nearby and plenty of restaurants within walking distance, especially towards Place DÍtalie. The first room was too small for a couple but when we complained the second was fine, could be a little warm in summer as no air-con. There is no street noise.
The staff were typical french in that the receptionist who had made a mistake refused to acknowledge it but her team mate ensured the change in rooms. Breakfast good and the showers hot though a little slow waiting for the hot water too arrive.
All in all happy to stay again.

This nice hotel, situated not far from Notre Dame and close to the Metro, is great value for money. The rooms are small, but when you´re in Paris that doesn´t matter. The rooms are clean, you can get new towels every day, there is free wi-fi and aircondition and the staff at the hotel is very friendly and ready to help you anytime. The morning buffet is really good, too. We spend a really nice week in Paris and was very pleased with the hotel.

We stayed here because a friend told me that this was the best area to stay in Paris. He was absolutely correct! The hotel just added to the experience. The staff were amazingly helpful, the room was more than I expected for the modest price and the breakfast and the kitchen staff were really great. The Jardin des Plantes area is perfect as a starting point to Paris. Two Metro stations within 4 minutes walk (Jussieu & Place Monge), plenty of food, the botanical gardens over the road and the Arenes de Lutece almost over the back fence ! 10-15 minutes walk down Rue Monge to Boulevard St.Germain and Notre Dame. We are already planning our next Paris holiday and we wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. It was a totally wonderful experience.

First the bad news: They gave my girlfriend’s luggage to another visitor then stalled us when we demanded they go to the other visitors’ room to get it back since the clerk “didn’t want to disturb them.” Disturb? Uh … you gave them the wrong bag. Secondly, they gave away our shuttle to the airport that we had placed a deposit on to another couple (wonder if it was the same one that got girlfriend’s bag). That said, room was clean and as long as you didn’t ask for anything more than a made bed once a day, it was a pretty good value. Just don’t ask for anything from them. Ever. Oh, and the Wi-Fi goes down at least once a day, which they will assume is your fault. It’s not. Just have them reboot their router.
