Popped over for a quick visit on the Eurostar.

Chose this hotel as we had stayed in it before when it was a Hilton a couple of times and knew the area well, and like it, as my Father used to have flat nearby.

Arrived on a boiling hot day to a decent welcome and were quickly in our room. Sure it needed some modernisation, knew that from here but the bathroom was fine and I enjoyed freshening up before hitting the streets. The pre paid rate compared to other hotels reflected this. Wi Fi in room.

Breakfast was fine in a bright room downstairs.

Convenient to Metro and RER and boat trips some rooms have Eiffel Tower views.

I was also a little worried reading some of the reviews. Since I travel a ton I am pretty picky about where I stay. I had a couple of down days so I decided to stay here because of the location, and I wasn't disappointed. The view is awesome. The rooms are spacious. The hotel staff are really nice and go out of their way to help. Finally, you are within walking distance of some great food and a taxi ride to excellent sites. Sure the rooms could be updated with flat screens and some paint. But for the price you will be hard pressed to find better value for the dollar/euro. That's what my rating is reflecting.

I made the right choice for where to experience Paris on the New Year weekend! Was soooo lucky to get an up grade from a garden room( w/out a view) to a room at the 9th floor w/ a balcony view of the Eiffel Tower! Rooms quite clean and just the right size if you are just by yourself or at most a couple. Location is great for it is centrally located and very near the stations as well as the tour bus stops for the hop on hop off busses. Breakfast is also served at the hotel w/ an extra charge but well worth a try but their are lots off cafe too w/c I prefer doing to people watch. Over all I'd say pretty good just a bit pricy but well worth it in the end for me!;,)
