“Had an amazing time”

We stayed at this hotel from 13-15th Jan 2012. It is just up the road from Alma-Marceau station and a short walk from the Champs-Élysées so very well located. The staff are very friendly and will help you with anything you need, they directed us to all the major attractions and gave us a little map to help us find our way back. We had a basic room and it was lovely, the bed was comfy and the bathroom spotless. The room came with a fully stocked mini bar that was pricey, 5.5 euro for a small bag of m&ms no thank you! We decided to go out for breakfast so cannot comment on the quality of the food however it did look very nice both mornings with a large selection of fruit and pastries but at 28 euros each a bit out of our price range. Overall a wonderful stay and would go back again at the right price, we got this hotel as part of a package deal so it only cost us £100 a night absolute bargain!

“Great Location, Lovely Hotel, Professional Staff”

My now fiancee and I stayed here for three nights in January 2012. The location is ideal for first time visitors to Paris, which we were. The staff was very professional, and capable. Very friendly as well. Even the obnoxious American family I witnessed behaving like ignorant morons were treated with more respect than I would have given them (I myself am American).

Meila was very clean, well decorated, and a pleasure to stay at. When we return to Paris, it will definitely be considered again.

“Perfect Location, Comfy Bed, Great Price, Good Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

We stayed at this hotel the week of Christmas 2011. The hotel is located in the Pont de l'Alma/Champs Elysèes area which is an excellent neighborhood. The Avenue Montaigne is the next street over and is probably more glamorous of a shopping address than Rodeo Drive. The Champs Elysèes is about 5 minutes away and you can virtually see the Eiffel Tower from the hotel.

The service was excellent. I heard them speak English, Spanish, Italian and French while we were there. The room is small but that is to be expected of any major international city. You should only be sleeping and showering in there anyways. The bathroom was nice and clean with a warm shower and the bed was very comfortable after a long day of exploring the city.

There are a few cafes in the area but not a ton of restaurants so go towards Champs Elysèes or across the bridge to the Champs-deMars area which is where we went and found some great local French restaurants.

To get to the hotel from CDG airport Terminal 2 via the metro follow the signs for the RER (Paris by Train) in the airport to the main station. In the main station go to the glass room that says 'Billet lle-de-France' (Tickets Paris). They have service people that speak English and ask for your roundtrip tickets on the RER to Pont del'Alma. They should cost about €14 per person round trip. (You can also purchase a visitor pass to ride any train, any time for about €50 a person). Take the RER B to the Saint-Michel station and then switch to the RER C and get off at the Pont de I'Alma‎ station. The hotel is about 300 meters (5 min walk) from the train station.

Overall a great place and recommended by a frequent European traveler. If you can get a great price then stay there. We paid €160 a night which was about €70 less then everything near it at that time.

Room Tip: Stay above the 6th floor for a view of the Eiffel Tower.

“Nice hotel, friendly staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 December 2011

We reached the hotel exhausted because we had to carry our heavy luggage up and down the stairs at the Paris metro (No escalators at most of the metro stations!!!). The nearest station is Alma Merceau. You get a nice view of the Eiffel Tower when you come out of the station! The hotel is a short walk away in a very quiet street.
The girl at the reception (i think her name was Maria) was very nice and welcoming. She gave us a map and explained how to get around Paris when she found out that it was our first time there. Since our room did not come with breakfast, she suggested I join as a Melia member so we can get the 2nd person breakfast at 50% off.
The elevator to the room is tiny but the room is of decent size. Breakfast was ok. the waiters are polite but not as pleasant as Maria. While the road outside is very quiet, it appeared safe, at least nothing happen to us when we came back around 10pm the 3 nites we were there. We like the hotel, it's nice, cosy. The staff are generally very nice, It is also very near to the Champs Elysee. Will definitely go back there again.

“Great room but so hot”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 November 2011

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights at the end of October this year. The hotel location is really great and the room, lobby, staff etc were all very nice. Unfortunately the room was so hot though. I asked at the reception desk if they could turn down the heat but they explained that all rooms are on the same system and that they couldn't make any changes. It was pretty mild whilst we were there so the first night we had the window open but we were bitten alive by mosquitos! So we ended up hardly spending any time in the room - apart from sleeping.

It's a real shame because the hotel was otherwise perfect for a little break in Paris. And the staff were really lovely and helpful. But it really was uncomfortably hot in our room.
