My boyfriend and I went to spend 3 days in paris over a weekend at the begginning of febuary . Just want to point out here not the best time to go as it was -7 one day however snow in paris was very picturesque :).
We had been warned in advance about the standard of parisian hotels and after using trip advisor we came across this gem . It looked modern , near to the eiffel tower and the had good transport links . On arrival we were not disappointed in the slightest .
The staff were extremely friendly and came out to greet us from the taxi . Check in was quick easy and friendly which was great . The room we chose was the standard room and it was a bit on the small side but that is the case anywhere in paris , it was however , clean and modern . I was very impressed with the decor and the bathroom included a very large shower with a rainfall head and one which you could use in your hand . We had hermes bath products waiting for us and true to the hotels word there are versace tiles in the bathroom .
The room itself had a flat screen TV (which informed me was some fantastic TV make I can't remember the name however) and its own balcony which was really nice to go out on . My boyfriend paid to use the express laundy service offered by the hotel and found it very efficient .
Throughout our stay the hotel staff were always extremely friendly and helpful . Location wise you are very close to la motte picquette - grenelle metro line and i'm sure there is a train line also . We walked for 3 mins and were amazed to find ourselves at the end of the gardens infront of the eiffel tower which was a bonus as we walked/drove by it at least 4 times a day . Walking about at night in the area we felt extremely safe unlike in other areas of paris .
We loved the hotel decor , the staff members and the location and would highly recommend it .The hotel does offer breakfast however we chose to eat out every morning as you are not far from many small restaurants and a starbucks .
The hotel was not overly priced and was great to come back to such a beautiful place after a hectic day of sightseeing !

A boutique hotel in all senses - small but beautifully decorated rooms, stunning bathroom, excellent facilities (including free wifi, free internet on the TV and a mini bar which only costs 5 euros a day for absolutely everything in it) lovely little touches (including chocolates on the pillows and fresh linen and towels everyday even though we were only there 2 nights) incredibly friendly and helpful staff and a great location for exploring a beautiful city.

The most romantic hotel I have ever stayed in, small but perfectly formed :)

The Ares is a wonderful hotel in a nice and quiet area.
The metro is around the corner and the Eiffel tower is walking distance.
We enjoyed the room (mostly the bathroom), extremely clean and beautifully decorated.
The staff helped us out in many ways, including reservations and tours planning.
If you plan to stay in Paris, this is your hotel.

We chose this hotel based on other Tripadvisor reviews. All were true. This is a stunning hotel. The reception is stunning. The female receptionist was extremely friendly, polite and helpful. She assisted us greatly with our plans as we were only there for 2 days. She booked our restaurant table for us in the afternoon, booked the taxi to get us there, and then called the restaurant to let them know we were running late.

The room was large for Parisian standards and was finished to the highest level. We had the room with the massive purple velvet headboard. We had a sitting area, balcony, Bang & Olufsen tv (although annoyingly the British channels weren't working- luckily we weren't there for the tv and only used it when chilling before heading out for our evening meal at Mariettes Restaurant- highly recommended!!!). The bathroom was absolutely stunning!! With Versace wall tiles and Hermes toiletries! My wife loved the rain shower, which I have to admit after a long day travelling around Paris was great!

The seating area opposite reception was also stunning. Very modern in parts yet with that classic French/Parisian feel that you would hope for. Even the stairwells and corridors are dramatic and stylish.

The only thing that let the hotel down was the breakfast room. It felt like a kitchen/eating room you would see at a hostel. This, and the fact that the buffet breakfast was 16 euro each put us off from eating there. Instead we had breakfast at a little french cafe just round the corner which was fantastic and felt 'proper French'!
