I have only good things to say about this hotel ! From the great location, spacious studios, AMAZING staff and management, everything was just perfect form the day we arrived til the day we left.
We arrived early in the morning, about 9h30am and even though check-in is not til 2pm the receptionist, Sylvain radioed the housekeeping and rallied them around to get us a room within about 25 minutes. In the mean time we took the opportunity to have a very filling and great value for money buffet breakfast in the hotel. As we were having breakfast the General Manager Elizabeth introduced herself to us and gave us great advice on things to do in the city. In fact throughout our entire stay (6 nights) we often bumped into her and she really made us feel so welcome, as did her entire team who all spoke great English and had great local knowledge.
We had a fabulous studio, about 90 feet with a great double bed and a kitchen that is by far the most complete one we stayed in on our whole European trip. There was a fantastic view of the Eiffel Tower and the only overland metro in the city, which by the way if you keep the windows closed you don't even hear it roll by.
The studio was impeccably clean and had been recently redecorated. We were told that they had just re decorated 3 floors of the property and will do another few floors in 2012.
We knew that it was an apartment hotel and therefore daily cleaning was not included, just one service in the middle of our stay. Even though they offer a range of optional services like daily cleaning, we decided not to avail of them as at home we don't change our towels every day, and come on, how hard is it to pull up a duvet to make a bed ?!
We really felt at home in our "Parisian" apartment and the market opposite along with the selection of food stores around allowed us to stay in some nights, cook a simple "french" meal and kick back with a bottle of wine. Bliss.
We are seasoned travelers, who together and or separately have visited 4 continents for work and leisure and having stayed in all kinds of hotels, and resorts are not the easiest people to please. In fact our friends say we should become travel critics. However we were not only pleased, but overwhelmed by this place, we would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat. In terms of budget it was a bit more than what we planned to pay (about 190 euros per night) but was well worth it. In fact we liked it so much we have included it to our list of "places to return to". Well done to Citadines Tour Eiffel, keep up the great work, and thank you for making our stay in Paris even more special !
