This hotel has to be a favourite of mine. My second visit. I asked for a room with a view of the Eiffel Tower and given one even though the hotel was very busy. Our room was very good and included excellent free wi-fi. This hotel remains a good location. Walking distance to an RER mainline train station (a direct line to visit the Palace of Versailles) and also to a Metro station for the rest of Paris.
The breakfasts were good. A nice choice of scrambled egg, sausages, warm pancakes and the French version of bacon. A wide choice of fresh breads, cold meats, cheese and decent coffee.
I booked through AA Travel Sevices and the package included Eurostar travel. All efficiently handled. Recommended.

My partner and me decided to visit Paris to celebrate my 18th birthday, the hotel was lovely. The staff were friendly, rooms were clean and comfortable and the atmosphere was nice. So close to the Eiffel Tower and surrounding bars and restaurants. Would definitley return to this hotel.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and although we were happy with the overall impressions of the hotel, there were a few bits and pieces that we were not so happy about.

The best thing about the hotel was the vicinity to the Eiffel Tower, its just 2 minutes walk to the tower. And there was a metro station just around the corner called Bir Hakiem station. The room was quite nice, the hotel was under renovation when we were there and we were lucky enough to be given a renovated room on the 9th floor, although renovation works started around 10am where it got rather noisy when the workers started pounding around. There was not even water on the day we arrived due to the renovation! The room was ok for 3 persons and we were given a good and comfortable extra sofa bed. Our room didnt face the tower but its not a problem for us since we could see it through the main entrance of the hotel anyway. We were also served by a very nice, friendly and helpful butler who we appreciated very much.

Now onto the not so nice one, we didn’t get any refill of the complimentary tea/coffee and we were not given a fresh change of towels during our stay. But our overall impression was ok due to the fact that we could just walk to the tower any time we want :)

During my stay at the Mercure Suffren, I had the opportunity to enjoy a wonderfull meal at the hotel's restaurant, the staff kindely adised me on the wine to pick according to the menu chosen, it was a delight, and the wine selection is absolutely great.

The rooms were a bit small and the front office manager couldn't help unfortunately, I wish that gentleman, Romain, had better rooms for me but it would seem that I had a booking problem.

Anyways it is the perfect location to start a oaris tour, very affordable and great amenities.
I do hope to come back soon.
