The hotel is being renovated which does detract somewhat to it's appeal but it is well located across from the Eiffel Tower and a metro stop practically outside the front door. There are lots very convenient cafes, ATM/money exchange stations, souvenir shops, bakeries and a train station about two blocks away.
We were in an upgraded "privilege" room which is decorated in a modern style with some purple and gold (very tasteful). The rooms are very small. Compare it to the Hudson Hotel in NYC. I would not want to stay here more than the four days we had booked.
Breakfast is included and it was great, exactly what we eat at home with really good coffee, cafe au lait, espresso, you name it. In the room, you have a small refrigerator and a coffee pot with teas, instant coffee and the condiments you need for this.
I would say the room is fairly quiet, maybe a 3 on a scale of 1 to 5. I could hear people over us stomping around their room late at night but I am a very light sleeper.
The bathroom is small but does have a separate WC which is nice when you are sharing a room.
You do need to be mindful of your partner as you cannot both walk around at the same time. There is no bureau and not a lot of extra space in the bathroom but they have what you need. The staff is pleasant although I did witness one very immature staff member flirting with a coworker wherein he thought he was being funny pretending to kick her. I do not think this is appropriate and certainly not in from of guests. There was also a bit of a problem checking in. They hold firm to the 3:00 check-in time and I just did not see why they did this. Other people coming in later who utilized the services of the porter were immediately shown to their rooms and I am pretty certain that it is a little perk if you use their staff.
There is free WIFI which worked better than I have seen in some similar hotels.
Overall, I would actually rate this a 3.5 but gave it very good as I felt it was better than just average.
