I spent 4 nights at this hotel in early February with my family.
The price I got was very good, for a very expensive city, considering I paid U$D 135.- for each room with free access to wi-fi.
To be fair, the hotel is ok. No "charme" at all. It is just a business and convention hotel with a lack of personality... The lobby is proper but the rooms are not worthy of a category of a 4 star hotel.
The staff is friendly and makes efforts to meet the request of the guests with efficiency.
The good news are that the Metro station "Balard" is at a distance of a 5 minutes walk (300 meters) and the connection to the city center is excellent. It takes 20 minutes to reach the Arc de Triomphe (Arch of Triumph)making 1 change at La Motte-Picquet - Grenelle station. To get to Ballard you have to cross under the highway "Péripherique" and walk on Avenue de la Porte de Sèvres.
Breakfast is EUR 17. - which I think is very expensive. Next to the hotel, there is a cinema complex and eateries like Mc Donalds and La Brioche Doree, quite horrible, but a choice for any meal you want to do nearby.
If you do not mind a "take away" breakfast, on Avenue de la Porte de Sèvres (next to the "Balard" metro station) you can grab a French pastry freshly baked and a coffee at good prices (4 croissants: EUR 2.10.-).
This is my conclusion:
For those who want to feel part of the city they are visiting, with its environment, its streets, its businesses, its people ... my opinion is that it is disappointing to be in Paris and see a highway in front of the hotel. You do not feel you are in Paris ... could be any other city !.
