“Not favorite!”

stayed here for few nights almost a year ago. There is not really much to brag about. The hotel room was small and outdated. The bathroom could use a renovation. Thanks God, we came to Paris for the sights and not for the hotel. It was adequate, but I would not stay here again. As a matter of fact when I got back to Paris 2 months ago for another vacation (I love this city), I rented an apartment via Airbnb.com right by Louvre which was much much better value in all ways. The Latin quarter where the hotel is located at is very cozy and nice with plenty of restaurants and small streets to get lost in. Its only 5 mins away from Notre Dam. So if you are looking for a good location - this may be it. But if you are looking for comfort - it is definitely NOT.

“Really nice staff who were genuinely helpful”

We needed a room for one night in a pinch and they were super helpful. Our room was super small and carpet and lighting in bad shape, but it was clean, lots of hot water and good water pressure. Our view was right on rue des ecoles and we were very grateful to get a last minute booking as we had missed our flight and were in a bind. They gave us the room early, at noon, which was very appreciated as well as very helpful getting us a shuttle booked for the airport. I can't complain about the service that's for sure - they were fantastic : )

“Recent stay at the Sully St. Germain”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 September 2011

I would recommend that you look at other hotels before booking here. Location was good; however, room was small, air conditioning did not work (fan in the room) poor lighting in the room, basic, shower flooded every morning, phone was not working properly, old air dryer mounted on the wall that got so hot you would have to wrap a sock around it to use so you would not burn yourself, barely had enough toilet paper for the stay. Staff was hot and cold. Breakfast served in the basement. If I had not pre paid I would have stayed elsewhere.

Room Tip: Look elsewhere

“Good overall hotel”

We visited Paris in May of 2011. The hotel is located in the Latin Quarter. We loved the location. It was within walking distance to Notre Dame, the Louvre, the Seine and many other sites. The hotel itself is very charming. It is small but so are most of the quaint Paris hotels. The elevators are the smallest I've ever seen! You can fit either two people with no luggage or one person with luggage! The hotel staff was friendly and the front desk attendants spoke English and helped us with calling a taxi. There is a hair dryer in the room which helps with foreign traveling and not having to deal with voltage conversion. The bathrooms are very small but it does have a shower. Our understanding from other travelers is that not all Paris hotels have bathrooms in every room and not every bathroom has a shower so we considered ourselves fortunate to have our own bathroom with a shower even if it was small. Overall it was a very nice hotel and we would stay there again if we're ever fortunate enough to make it back to Paris.

“Our second stay at this conveniently located hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 August 2011

This hotel is well located for access to Musee Cluny, the Orangerie, Musee d'Orsay, Isle de la Cite, Isle St. Louis, Luxembourg Gardens and walkable to the Marais. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is a mini-grocery across the street that is open late. The lift is very limited, and the standard room lighting needs a shot of power --- good lighting is big item for me, but we found the mattresses and pillows to be very comfortable (though obviously bed evaluations are highly subjective). Based on our limited experience this hotel seems to be a good value. However, it is scheduled to undergo a six-month renovation starting in November 2011.
