Used with no value for money from most of the 3 star hotels in Paris, I had a nice surprise with this apart hotel. First the location is within walking distance from Montparnasse train and metro station with good transport links everywhere. If you prefer you have another metro station 30 seconds from the entrance (Gaite).
The hotel is extremely clean and personnel very polite and helpful. They will extend their due diligence and offer to help (book a taxi or restaurant for a certain time, keep your luggage – I was impressed that the lady at reception took my laptop in her office from the luggage room for safe keeping).
Rooms are fairly small and a bit unusual that you do not have a bed, but an extensible sofa. Anyway the sofa is comfortable and easy to extend. There is a good size bathroom with shower and complimentary toiletries and also a kitchenette with everything you need (including a fridge where you can keep your cheeses you want to take home from France). It is value for money for Paris, so try it with confidence.

This Citadines is located within two blocks of Gare Montparness and a Metro stop, the only drawback to this very compact studio is the noise level with the window open, which we wanted at night to bring in the cool night air--bring earplugs unless you can book a room off the street. The neighborhood is safe, with many decent restaurants and a fine bakery nearby. There is 24 hour front desk service, In our studio we had free internet access, a regular size bath, small kitchen, sofa bed, safe, small table (which tucks under the desk at night). Everything compact like on a ship. The room and entire facility was very clean, the staff helpful, speaking English as well as French, and free papers are available in the small lobby. DO take the petit-dejeuner for an extra10 euro--a bargain for what you get. Larger apartments are also available and you don't have to book for a week or more--we were there three nights. The only thing I would do differently is select a one bedroom apartment next time for more space. I think it would be worth the extra in cost.

If you can manage to survive with your couple in aprox 6-8 sqm, if you don{t need an AC even with temperatures of 30+ degrees, if a couch bed allows you to rest, if you don{t mind to have a room on a very noisy street...this place may be an option to you....positive things: well located, friendly staff, clean....but surely for that money you can get a more decent experience...we stayed 6 days (only because room was pre-paid) but we seriously looked for another (even having to pay twice - but nothing reasonable was available). Probably if you are single and all you need is a place where to leave your stuff during the day, and you can get a room looking to the back patio....it may ( I said may) help you

My daughter and I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights in August and the 2 Receptionist Josephine and Mattew were extremely friendly & helpful to provide us with all the info we requested about getting around, where to eat . They spoke good English.

The room was very clean & comfortable for 2 persons altho we had 2 sofa beds.
The kitchen was very well equipped, the bath was big by Paris hotel standard.

The location is very strategic with the Metro station is just 2 doors away , Gare Montparnasse is just a 5 min away when we had to catch a train to Lourdes.

There are many cafe around and a Supermarket is just a few doors away.

We had really enjoyed our stay there esp the hospitality of the Receptionist Josephine and Mattew made our stay more pleasant.
