It is difficult to be positive about a place for which the overriding memory is a whiff of the sewer. Miniscule rooms. Shabby fittings. No hot water (yes, no hot water in January-desolé monsieur, on a appelé la compagnie). The Comfort Drouot is to comfort what the Olde England is to England (sadly that store has gone bankrupt). But I return to the whiff. We went out and bought some scented soap. On a positive note, it is extremely well-located, within easy walking distance of l'Opéra, Galeries Lafayette. And a good thing too, for you won't be spending much time lounging around in the room, though Wifi and HDTV were of a high quality. Also, the staff were perfectly nice. It is a two star, one which will go no further without a overhaul, a lick of paint, and a resolution of the plumbing woes.
