This is a grand Parisian hotel literally next door to L'Opera. It was recently the subject of major refurb. The public areas are stylish and classically French. The basic rooms as with most French hotels are on the small side but they are extremely well equipped. The beds are amazingly comfortable and it's a struggle to get up in the morning.

It's not cheap and nor is breakfast but you generally get what you're paying for.

Spent a weekend at the hotel Scribe in august. Lovely room, nice bathroom with loveley toiletries from Hèrmes, and a little "surprise" from the hotel with turndown service. Nice and accomodating staff. The location is unbeatable, the hotel is within walking distance from l'Opéra, the Louvre, Place Vendôme and Galeries Lafayette.

We had originally booked an apartment for our stay in Paris. On arrival we were so disappointed that we decided to go all the way and book ourselves and two teenage boys into a 5 star hotel. Being New Year's Eve this was no mean feat but were lucky enough to get the last two rooms at the Scribe. How lucky were we. The staff were wonderful from the moment we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble. The concierges (two different ladies) went out of their way to help, even securing us excellent last minute seats at the Moulin Rouge. The location is fantastic, close to shops, cafes, restaurants and many sites. We will definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to returning in the future.
