We were transferred here despite having a reservation at another place, Vintage Hostel. After dragging our tired bodies through the streets of Paris in the rain, we get to the Vintage (which looked great!) only to be transferred here, which happen often, due to overbooking. It's a strategy that works well for them, cuz who wants to find immediate accommodations last minute right? So I asked for a cab, which I insisted they pay (which they did), and heading to this dive. the room was gross. Moldy and dirty. We were exhausted and crashed tho. Pretty good location up in Montmarte. The front desk guy was a laugh, reeking of pot. I would not reccommend this dive, but a hostel in Paris is like pizza, even a bad slice is good, cuz you are in PARIS!

Utrillo is a great place if you seek for a clean, cute little room to sleep and get rested. We spent four nights and we liked it very much. It was clean, the staff was very friendly and the location is excellent, near two metro stations and in the heart of montmartre, a few steps from rue abbesses, which is quite attractive and interesting. Rarely, we could hear the neighbours when they talked loudly but this didn't disturb us at all.

A surprisingly good hotel for a very reasonable price. It was the most upmarket place I satyed at on my whole trip.

We were looking for a hotel in a nice area and for affordable price. We found on Internet quite good offer for this hotel, even though it was not the cheapest 2 star hotel in the particular area. Once we arrived, the hotel looked nice outside. Unfortunately we got a room on a 6th floor and were informed that an elevator didn't work. It was too much for us, especially for my mom who had problems with health. I had to ask for another room. The stuff was friendly and in several minutes we had a room already on 1st floor. But still it required some effort to re-organize things. The room was small, nice, but clean. However our disappointment was in a level of cleaning on the next days. During 4 days of our stay no one changed our towels, even ones that were on a floor. The shampoo was over on the first evening, but on the following days we also didn't get any additional shampoo or soap. It was not a problem for us, because we bought also our own stuff. But I remember the hotel we stayed last year, which is next to Utrillo, there we had new soaps and shampoos every day. The breakfast room was somehow in a cellar, on the -1 floor, without windows. Quite annoying was stuff/workers of the hotel who gathered in the morning in the kitchen and would also eat/drink with customers. On the same floor the cleaners would already wash linens and towels, while people are eating. We would prefer to have just some privacy. But breakfast was very good. Internet was for free. Stuff was friendly. However overall next time, we will prefer some other hotel.
