My review is helped by the fact I was upgraded to the King Room...but what a room. Spacious, huge comfy bed, shower AND bath, and room to put a suitcase on the floor...this is luxury by Paris standards. More than friendly FOH staff. I was extremely impressed with everything at this hotel. Great value for money and will revisit this place next time I'm in Paris without a second thought. Highly recommended.

My husband and I found ourselves needing a hotel room late on Sunday afternoon due to some issues at our apartment. We live in the area and had passed this hotel many times noting that the lobby always was clean and the sidewalk in front well maintained and full of happy travelers! We enjoyed other Mercure locations in France and were expecting a reasonable experience. The lobby was in fact clean and staffed with friendly multi-lingual staff, including the gentleman helping us, Khalil. He was SO friendly, SO professional and SO INCREDIBLY HELPFUL that we were both rather thrilled to stay there!!! Khalil happily showed us around the hotel, showed us a room we could select, the breakfast area in the morning if we were interested, gave us a great tour of the building and then much to my own amazement - provided us with a room with the most incredible view as an on the spot upgrade! The room was absolutely spotless and very quiet. Every cleaning staff member we came in contact with was polite and pleasant. This is a somewhat crazy corner, but look slightly to the "right" up the little hill on Caulaincourt - and just walk on in and book a room at THIS Mercure. I am sure you'll be treated kindly and with respect by any of the beautifully trained staff. But if you are INCREDIBLY fortunate - you too will be greated by khalil! Seriously - this is a very comfy hotel, there are lots of things to do nearby, it's a surprisingly easy walk to Sacre Coeur, or the big department stores, there are lots of handy buses and train stops nearby. This is a great hotel and thanks to Khalil we are now 100% loyal Mercure Club card carrying members! Khalil, like I said - YOU ARE FANTASTIC! Keep up the excellent work! PS - world travelers; there ARE astonishing views of the Eiffel Tower from this hotel! SURPRISE! :0)

Good service, nice location (close to Montmartre attractions), friendly staff. Good hotel choice in Montmartre.
