“want customer service? fight for the right”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2011

Our stay started of ok though we were disappointed with the size of the room and subsequently very happy that we booked a privilege room since i couldnt imagine what the size of a classic room would have been. There are absolutely no information available in the room about the hotel amenities, breakfast timings etc. I mention this since we were informed by the desk clerk that breakfast would be from 07:00 - 11:00, he just forgot to mention that this timings were only during weekdays. So we walked into breakfast on Saturday morning around 09:50 and were informed that breakfast would close in 10 minutes and we ended up having the left overs since the buffet was no longer being replenished.
The first night we spent there was absolutely tiresome because of the temperature in the room and the absolute lack of airconditioning. When we called the reception to ask about the air conditioning we were told that it will probably not be turned on....after trying a couple of times we were offered a portable fan which we settled for and were happy with.
The last day we requested for a late check out which was part of our package and were blantly refused by the receptionist even if there was availability. We were finally granted the late check out which we had full right to only after talking to the manager.

Another general remark, we were not met with a friendly staff when we addressed them in English. I understand that in France, people speak French but us poor sods who do not speak English should apparently not expect friendliness from the staff in a hotel that we pay for.

I think that there is a serious room for improvement in customer service..I have stayed at other Accor Hotels where i have been served very satisfactorily but this hotel..I am sorry to say, I will never return to.

“Absolutely Ideal”

For a weekend away in Paris, this hotel was ideal for us. Right next to the metro stop, but not in the middle of the city, so quieter at night. The room was lovely and spacious, and most of all clean. We didn't need anything over the top as we were out and about in the day time.
Check in was great, the staff speak English, so it wasn't a total drama trying to find our room when we are both not fluent French. Breakfast was brilliant, buffet style with a decent choice of hot food, cold cheeses and meats, breads, fruit and pastries.
Check out was 11am and the hotel had the facilitiy to hold luggage for guests. We didn't use this, but stioll the option was available.
The location was brilliant, right nect to the metro, a restaurant/bar 2 doors down where we ate on the first night, excellent food, even better desserts, try the tiramasu nutella or raspberry!! and good value for money. A chemist round the corner, for when someone forgets their toothbrush!!
A really good choice for a weekend break in the city, definately would recommend this hotel.

“Very nice hotel”

Really nice hotel and friendly english-speaking staff. We were in a privilege room which was very neat and bright, did not have breakfast so cant comment about that although it did not look bad from the outside hehe. Metro station is just across the road which is a big plus and there is also a small bakery and a supermarket nearby. The area behind the hotel is not very desirable but did not feel dangerous and we used to come back at midnight. A/c did not work very well but they were actually revamping the system during out time there so probably thats why, but we opened the windows during the night and it was quite chilly so didnt even need a/c! Definitely will use again.

“Not a good hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 July 2011

This hotel is OK but:

- There is a very dangerous area right behind the hotel. I feared for my life
- Breakfast is the high calorie bread & pastry deal
- It is far outside of Paris, & does not qualify as being in central Paris
- The front desk is clueless, with only one English speaker
- It is on a main road, and is very noisy
- Hugely overpriced at 300 Euros per night.
There are better choices
