“Small, cosy hotel right in the city centre”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

Overall my hotel experience was very good and I would definite consider to stay there again!
It's not a perfect hotel if you plan to spend your Paris trip in the hotel room, but for just sleeping and getting changed it's really good!

POSITIVE
1) The rooms were clean, fresh, cosy and relativly newly renovated.
2) The bathroom was clean and normal standard.
3) Free wireless Internet
4) Right in the city centre, can't be better!
5) Reasonable price compare to other hotels in Paris and absolutely for the perfect location!

NEGATIVE
1) I had big problems with my hotel booking and they did plenty of mistakes e.g. naming my by the wrong name in emails sent to me, wrong name and email address when I came to check-in (even though it was correct in the booking form I had filled out) etc.
2) Small rooms
3) The breakfast is not very good. You will find juice, some bread, 2 assorted cheeses and cold cuts, scramble egg (which could have tasted MUCH better...), sausage (suppose to be hot but were not) etc.

Room Tip: The superior rooms are also very small but totally fine if you are just going to sleep there.

“Very friendly and helpful reception staff!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

We stayed at the hotel in January 2012 in a superior room on the fifth floor. The hotel is in a good location, near to transport links, and there are many restaurants/cafe’s in the vicinity. We were only there for a few nights but had some problems opening and closing the shower door and hope that it has been fixed.

The lift/elevator is very small and could be a bit more spacious but overall we enjoyed our trip, except for the door banging by a fellow hotel guest early in the morning.

We found that the reception staff were very friendly and helpful, and would recommend this hotel to others.

“Really (but REALLY) small rooms, rest was ok”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

Being a young couple, carrying a small baggage, I thought I wouldn't mind the size of a hotel room until I saw this. Rooms are so small there is no place for a single small suitcase on the floor...

A pity, because everything else is ok: very good location, normal breakfast, friendly service.

“No internet connection at the hotel, so not for business”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

Room is reasonable for Paris, but amenities are missing (no conditioner, etc.).

Most importantly though, the internet is so slow that my email client wouldn't even connect. This meant that at night I had to go to either Starbucks or another cafe to be able to work.

When I notified the staff they suggested it was a known problem when "too many people connect" but had no solution or workaround. If you need internet, do not stay here.

Room Tip: Avoid street-side rooms, they're loud.

“Location is not everything”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

Yes, I agree that the location is good, especially if you are spending the day out and about. The connection to various Metro lines is great..... but...... I was surprised that my double room consisted of a cozy space about 3m x 3m plus a bathroom. Bathroom was small but sufficient. The bedroom for two people, was simply impossible to move around if you have any luggage. I was there for eight nights for business, and at the price of €180-€200 average per night, I did not feel like it was a fair price at all.
I will say that the staff were great. Very helpful and very friendly. Our housekeeper was especially nice with a morning smile and a pleasant bon jour very day.
We had breakfast one morning and decided it was not worth it. You can eat at a local bistro for far less money, better coffee, etc. Then got hit with the bill for that breakfast. €17 per person? Hmmm, when we checked in I was told it was €12 for the full breakfast and €7,50 for the "express" breakfast, which is all we had that morning - coffee and a roll. At checkout, €34 for the pleasure of eating in the same building.
No, there are 1000s of other options in Paris. I will choose another one next time.
