“Great location, good staff, okay breakfast, comfortable rooms”

Stayed at this hotel as part of a tour so we had no choice over the accommodation but we were quite pleasantly suprised on arrival. Area was great, short Metro ride to anywhere you need to go but surrounded by French rather than the usual tourists. Word of advice - the shops are not open on Sundays in the area so make sure you get what you need beforehand!
On arrival we were given a rather small room on the front of the hotel which wouldn't be bad apart from the fact that the shower curtain was mouldy and the shower head desperately needed a de-scale, the bathroom was VERY small, as I'm a hotelier maybe I am more fussy than most. The front desk were very helpful and moved us to a room in the annex at the back - much better and cleaner.
Breakfast was nice, you collect a tray and help yourself, as much coffee as you can drink, leave the tray on the table to be collected.
Very accommodating with our luggage storage by letting our group of 27 store there bags until 7pm in one of the bedrooms (very small luggage room).
Overall, if you are not spending much time in the hotel - which you shouldn't as Paris is beautiful and full of things to do - a good base for any tourist.

“Not for me”

Just came back from Paris, used Anderson Travel from UK
If you want small room with dirty walls but comfortable bad and clean sheets in outskirts of Paris, than this is it. However bathroom, heard to fit in ( very small) , mild smell of damp but again clean.
Breakfast nothing special and if late, not much available. Coffee machines faulty…
Receptionists aloof but speak some English…
No 9 underground line was not far from the hotel (5min.) In central Paris within 10-15 minutes…
Not impressed. Would not go there again for my romantic weekend, thats for sure…

“A bit out of the way, but good if you get it at the right price”

We booked this hotel as a part of an inexpensive package deal (return train from Zurich and three nights in the hotel for $200 a person!), so we didn't have much choice.

Jardins de Paris Boulogne is in Boulogne, which is technically just outside of Paris. It takes about 20 minutes to the Eiffel Tower from the hotel's Metro stop, which is Marcel Sembat.

The hotel is located in a quiet residential neighborhood with small shops and businesses. It is about a five minute walk from the Metro.

When we arrived, we had a completely hassle-free check in with our voucher and were given room 001, which was on the ground floor. We asked for a room on an upper floor, but the desk person said this room was bigger but if we wanted another room we could have it. We decided to see how it was, and it indeed was quite large for a European hotel room in this price range.

This room was like a small annex it seems (or maybe a long-ago converted shed?), and quite a bit larger than your standard room at the hotel. There were no rooms above us or on either side.

The only drawback was the lack of a fan for air circulation. We had to leave the room window open all night, which made us both a bit nervous being on the ground floor - but it faced out into a courtyard for the hotel and we had metal shutters which could be latched.

The bathroom was clean, sans the mildew between the tiles in the shower. It was a bit on the small side, particularly with the sink right in front of your face while you're on the toilet, but it was servicable.

Housekeeping was very efficient the first day, however, they forgot to make our bed on the second day! The night manager was extremely apologetic about this, and was even going to see if he could find someone to make up the bed for us - and it was almost midnight.

The breakfast was a typical continential breakfast - pastries, cereal, yoghurt, etc. The coffee machines (two of them!) were broken during our stay and they offered only instant coffee.

All in all, this was a decent inexpensive hotel that's a bit off the beaten path. If the opportunity came up at this price, we'd stay there again.
