We booked a 'Classic' room, and would not advise this for any couple as the room we were allocated was so small we could barely move around it. The bed was a small double, which is not to be expected in a 4 star establishment, and even stashing our two small suitcases was a challenge. In short, the room was much better suited for single occupation, and we would not have stayed for a second night had pre-payment not already been made (the hotel could not offer an alternative as it was full). There is only one tiny lift - again just big enough for two and two small suitcases - totally inadequate in the morning as there are seven floors. On the plus side, the room was very clean and, as others have commented, the staff were friendly and helpful. However, this did not compensate for the fact that the heating/aircon system was noisy, the bar closed earlier than advertised, and the basic continental breakfast was overpriced. We also found it odd that we asked for an extra blanket we were given a mattress protector for a single bed! The best thing about this hotel is the very good free wi-fi, and the reality is that there are plenty of hotels in Paris which offer better value than this one. Best Western needs to review its rating system if it hopes to retain credibility.
