“Still a recommendable choice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

A small and nice boutique hotel, well located near l'Etoile. Rather modern decor in the rooms, and in the rest of the property. Staff extremely pleasant and efficient.
For Paris standards, the rates are reasonable, even if one can think they are somehow high.
Beds are excellent and the bathroom amenities quite OK in terms of quality and replenishment rate. There is a not-so-difficult-to-operate safe in each bedroom.
Some rooms are not so small and have a balcony. There is no specific view, except a typical Parisian street, which is nice for those who want to feel as a local.
Very recommendable.

“Great location rough around the edges”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

My partner and I stayed here in November 2011 on a short city break to Paris for both our first time in the city. From reading about hotels in the city and the room sizes being small we were very happy to find the room was a good size. We stayed in room 602. The room was clean and had an ensuite bathroom with the toilet in a separate room. It was a bit rough around the edges and the wall paint was coming off in places and some of the sockets in the room did not work but don't let this put you off the hotel was in a great location and very near the metro to enable you to travel round Paris easy. It is also very near the stops for the buses to the airport. The only tips I have are to think twice about the room service we ordered a few things that looked very appealing on the menu as we were very hungry after a long plane delay in the uk and a later than planned arrival. What was delivered looked and tasted .. Well ...cardboard like ! We got stung for the privilege .. 68 euros! There is an amazing bakery literally at the end of the street the food costs next to nothing and was amazing ! All fresh and the staff were all very helpful. The other tip I have is to make your requests very clear to the reception at the hotel. My partner and I wanted to watch the Moulin rouge but the reception booked us in to the wrong show and told us the wrong time! They did refund us but if u only have one night to go then I suggest you do double check or go and buy tickets direct from the place! Overall we had a great time in Paris and the hotel was satisfactory for our needs as it was just a base. I would not recommend this if you want a weekend where you intend to spend long periods in the hotel as I would have been very disappointed had this have been the case.

“Nice boutique hotel...cleanliness could improve...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

Nice small hotel, frendly staff, located away from touristy area but but still just few minutes form Arc de Triomphe and shopping av.des Champs-Élysées. Only downside was room wasn't cleaned properly had stain from a glass on the table and dust on lamps. Also breakfast waiter was grumpy and unfriendly.

“Beautiful Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 December 2011

Stayed at the hotel Duret for two nights for my 21st birthday. The hotel is lovely, the decor outside and inside is gorgeous, very modern and clean. The room we had was on the 2nd floor. It was very nice,we had a small balcony which was a nice added extra. The room was very clean, had a safe which you could have the use of for free.
The staff at the hotel are so friendly,at check in they provide a map and are always happy to answer any questions. We were room only, you could have a continental breakfast for 17 euros but we just decided to get breakfast ourselves.

The hotel is very central, there is a metro five minutes from the hotel,we used it quite alot it is very cheap roughly 3 euros for the two of us to get anywhere is Paris. It is about a 10min walk to the Champs Elysees from the hotel! This is where all the shops and restraunts are,it is very busy but really nice to walk down.

We bought a two day open top bus tour which was well worth the money - it was hop on hop off, there were four diff routes and you can just jump on and off as you please.

I would have no doubts about staying at this hotel again - it was beautiful! Looking to book again it was so nice! Paris is a gorgeous city - had a ball!

Room Tip: We had room 202 - lovely balcony looking on to the street!

“fabulous stay all around!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 October 2011

Had an amazing 3 nights in Hotel Duret in May and have to recommend!

Staff very friendly and helpful. Decor and ambience of hotel really lovely. We had a lovely room with a great view out onto streets. 2 minutes from Arc d Triompe and the metro so great location wise.

Cost is very competitive compared to similar places ive stayed in Paris.
