The Citadines Bastille Marias was clean, comfortable and well positioned. My family and I (2 adults and 2 teenage kids aged 17 and 14) stayed there just before Christmas 2011 for 4 nights. It had good cooking facilities, close supermarket and metro stations. The staff on the front desk were also very helpful, and helped us translate some accommodation details and book a tour. Geoffery was particularly helpful. There was free wifi in the foyer and free cabled network in the room. The Eiffel tower was partly visible (top section only) from our room window, and Sacre Cceur was in full view.

My girlfriend and I stayed for a week on December 27th to January 3rd. Room was spacious and comfortable. We were supposed to have a double bed but ended up getting two twins pushed together. The kitchen was nice to be able to make breakfasts and store things in the fridge but the lack of an actual oven was frustrating. However, there is a stove top and microwave as well as a dishwasher. There were plenty of dishes provided as well. Was close enough to walk to pretty much everything we wanted to see (about 30 mins to Louvre, over an hour to the Eiffel Tower, and about 20 mins to Ile de la Cite where Notre Dame and La Concierge are located). Bathrooms were big but there are no shower curtains or doors on the showers so be ready to clean up water off the floors when you're finished. Overall we found the hotel staff helpful and polite and we enjoyed our stay a lot.

Spent four nights in a 1 bed roomed apartment (long weekend). Really appreciated the space and comfort of the hotel. Made for a relaxing break - not being cramped in the usual small Paris hotel room. Well equipped, nice to be able to buy treats and go back for lunch (and to rest the feet!), what a shame the market isn't every day - doubt we'd ever eat out if it was!

Very easy to access from Gare de Nord, and easy location to explore the local area. Very quiet, at the back on the top floor.

Look, this was nothing special, but it ticked all the boxes for a good price. No lovely views but who goes to Paris to stay in a hotel room all day?
